Gollum incidentally has 2 retweets from mark Daly re this and 3 tweets of his own re Lennon and the coin throwing on his page. Aye he is really going for it.

As someone who isn't on twitter and only reads the odd twitter account how much does the twitter accounts of the Rangers hating journos actually drive the sports news agenda?

I would say massively in Scotland. They appear to all rally round one another and work in concert and they can be vociferous when its pro Celtic or anti Rangers. I certainly wouldn't underestimate their potential audience or impact.

I'M not - but it is being ignored by a significant sporting voice in Scotland

It’s not now a sporting journalistic issue,it’s a legal issue which will be dealt with by the legal profession mate. The clowns that are mentioned above stuck the knife into us all day long. And it is to there eternal shame that they do not pursue that club with the same vigour they pursued us.  The likes of Spiers and English are no more than patsies for that club  and should be treated with the contempt they deserve.

Why aren’t the Scottish Government calling for an independent enquiry?

Or leading agencies in child protection such and children 1st or NSPCC asking questions and for accountability?

They came out with a strange statement recently, they were saying that they would be looking into instances of abuse in care homes etc and maybe looking at paying out to victims.

What the fuck is that about, most of them were run by the catholic church, so they should be paying out, not the fucking government, then again the snp and that faith are intertwined are they not.

spiers 2nd tweet on the subject. And its about point scoring...

Spiers is a useful idiot for an organisation proven to cover up child abuse.

Hes not alone in that but he wants to think about getting his own house in order before judging anyone else.

As a 'journo' you'd think he'd be wanting every aspect of the foul abuse of children uncovered but naw,he'd rather bury it to hide the celtic shame.?

BBC have updated their report

celtic FC has been criticised for its failure to comment on the conviction of paedophile Jim Torbett.

The celtic Boys Club founder was jailed for six years on Monday after being found guilty of sexually abusing three boys over an eight-year period.

But more than 24 hours after the trial concluded celtic FC has not responded.

The football club told the BBC last year the Boys Club was a "separate and distinct" organisation.

However decades of celtic View magazines, and never before seen footage obtained by BBC Scotland, shows how the two clubs were intertwined.

And campaigners argue celtic FC has a duty of care to the young footballers who wore the famous green and white hoops.

Martin Henry is chairing a Scottish Football Association report into historical sex abuse.

He said: "I believe all the clubs affected by this issue should apologise to those who have been most personally affected and, indeed, their families."

Mr Henry said clubs may try to "obfuscate or dodge the issue" following legal advice and amid insurance concerns.

But he added: "My view is that the moral situation predominates and they have a duty and an obligation to issue an apology to those affected."

Janine Rennie, chief executive of Incare Survivors Service Scotland, said it was "very disappointing" that celtic had not issued a statement following Torbett's conviction.

She also told BBC Scotland the club should not be viewed as a "separate legal entity" and should therefore compensate victims of abuse.

Ms Rennie said: "We are aware that Mr Torbett was a previous offender and had come back into celtic so we really feel celtic has a responsibility to say why that happened."

She said the club should also be conducting its own review into historical child abuse in the same way Manchester City launched a probe in November 2016.

That horrid club should not be conducting any review on their own into the abuse that happened on their watch ffs

Someone on Twitter needs to set him straight on the tragedies that have happened at that club

Maybe the sister of one of the victims will call him out on it and he then can’t use the point scoring pish like him and the rest are using to try make this hard truth go away.

He really has got his priorities all wrong.  I don't know how he gets through the day worrying about what people say rather than dealing with what people actually did.

Companies that have sponsorship or advertising deals with celtic really need to get out quick as there's a shit storm coming and you

wouldn't want your company to be associated with something like that. Remember there's lots more paedo's and victims on horizon.

tic toc tic toc.

That's pretty appalling to be honest. If you're going to tweet or report on such a sensitive, harrowing and deeply disturbing subject, as a journalist or just as a fucking human being, surely you're only point of view can be of compassion to the innocent victims and condemnation of the bastards who let this happen. EVEN if he thinks there is any element of point scoring, to completely disregard the victims and their families is deplorable to be honest. It's just common decency. A bit of respect. If you've got nothing nice to say, or post just shut up! He does actually realise what happened to those poor wee boys. It's unfathomable that his first and foremost thought is to address point scoring. It's just not right. Who even thinks like that!

Can you imagine the outcry if he just swept aside the whole #metoo movement and suddenly said "Is there anything more desperate or barrel-scraping on Twitter than guys keen to score points over something as tragic as sexual abuse? This is a guy who was back slapping, high fiving and wetting his wee knickers at Mark Daly's award winning journalism during his investigations in all things Rangers, a subject that he never shuts up about!

His Tweets are offensive and crass. But not surprising. His tweet was entirely predictable. Most of us called it. He's a sad little man.

Just read it. Everything you need to piss all over the 'point scoring' complaints.
