I think he can develop in to "Rangers class" (which by that I'm assuming you mean pre 2012 quality of player), even though he would instantly be our second best winger at 22 years old. Dunno how you can turn your nose up at a boy who has played 599 minutes in the Premiership this season and has 4 goals and 3 assists to his name, for Hearts.

We've signed far worse before we were demoted so to claim this signing would "show the board and management don't know what a Rangers player should be" is rubbish.

Wit? He's been out injured since September.

Sign 3rd rate shite then become 3rd rate shite.

I say they don't have a clue because ethernet vast majority of their signings have been guff and have failed at the club that's why.

He plays seconds fiddle to Jamie walker when fit exactly the type of player we need

I like Walker, but Nicholson doesn't play 2nd fiddle to him.

He was fit for the first 8 games of the season, started 7 of them.

I always thought Walker played on the right or as a number 10 and Nicholson played on the left.

We couldn't afford Walker.

Hearts wanted £1,000,000 for Paterson, who wanted to move to England and only had six months left on his deal.

How much do you think it would cost us to to sign their best player?

If McKay is £6m then Walker is more IMO

It's a good thing Barrie McKay isn't worth £6m then.

They'd bite someone's hand off for £2m.

I'd still take Nicholson, he'd be a good option to have in the squad. We only really have McKay and MOH as proper wingers and the manager clearly doesn't fancy MOH.

Walker and Nicholson are better than MOH, Waghorn, Forrester etc all out wide men choices

sadly too expensive I feel

They'd soon turn to shite in our formation that doesn't suit wide men.

The first time I saw Walker play against us in the championship I wanted us to sign him

In today's world you're probably talking around £2-3m they'd want

Patterson's capped though, as far as I know Walker isn't. That makes a big difference to a players value.

I don't think 5 Scotland caps makes a jot of difference to a player's value.

Yes, it does.

Nah, it absolutely doesn't.

A team isn't going to pay additional money because of a handful of throwaway appearances in international friendlies.

There was probably a time that being capped made a difference, and being an established international player still does, but not at this level. In this situation the player is worth what he's worth. The market has changed.

Would talk walker over Nicholson. He's a cracking player always causes us problems when we play them.

I don't believe either of them is better than McKay on his game. Would still take them in a heartbeat though.

How often does McKay have a good game tho?  It feels like once or twice a year.

He's played in more than friendlies, but that's a moot point. Hearts wouldn't be able to ask for £1m for him if he hadn't been capped, simple as that. Don't see how you can think otherwise.

Walker and Nicholson would be an upgrade on Waghorn, Forrester, Holt and MOH.

In the summer if Kings true to his word and we get a few million to spend, we should go for it.
