The board cant help the fact West Ham wanted him to play in the championship and the boy himself wanted to stay in London.

They should've been prepared for this tho, and had a back up ready to bid for - they may still do this, but unlikely

They cant but they should have a shortlist up of players to fall back on if one doesn't go through...that's what competent clubs do.

Final day of the window and we still haven't sorted the joke of a defence...that's 3 windows now we have totally neglected this area.

That's down right shambolic.

This is the best our defence has played all season so It wouldn't have made much sense to break it up, and Halliday needs dropped pronto.

Rossiter seemingly has agoraphobia.

That's quite funny, considering all our last four goals conceded were caused by our defence.

Move on he's not coming. Fingers crossed for a surprise deadline day signing though #whereswarbs

Notable by his absence and lack of comment at the Alnwick signing

How do you know Mark Warburton had someone else in place and wanted to sign someone else if this went through?

We kept a clean sheet last weekend, and the goal in the Motherwell cup game was caused by Lee Wallace being miles out of position and Windass having to mark the winger.  Kiernan and Hill have been fine recently.

The board are joke! This should have been a done deal within a few days. We were the first club linked with him if we just done our business there & then it might not have alrearted more clubs to his avalbility. Another one bits the dust.

Quite right! The board should have had the foresight to move the club to London. This is another example of the short-term thinking that blights this board.

Kiernan's marking was a fucking shambles, same against Celtic with Wilson and then Tavernier, then Kiernan against St Johnstone was awful as well. Kiernan, certainly hasn't been fine.
