Captain Hilts 12,819
Following Barcelona's amazing come back the other night, there's been some discussion online and amongst pundits about whether the away goal rule should be taken out of the game. What are your thoughts? I quite like it personally. It adds drama to a two-legged tie and encourages teams to attack more away from home. Moody Blue Legend 61,372
No. That's my input.

Or the home side to put four or five behind the ball and close up shop. Me personally, leave it as it is.
Bigsasasfloppyhair 13,310
No. We wouldn't have been in Manchester had it not been for away goals n penalties. One if the best days of my life, so I vote to keep it.
Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
No, I think it adds another dimension to two legged ties and teams do set up differently when playing away that allows home teams to go on the attack. Gutting when you go out on the rule, but great when a loss away can still be recouped at home.

CoopsLaud 4,184
Easy no for me Works well for the reasons it was intoduced
ElBufalo20 7,874
No works well just now no need to change it. Why should the home team get an advantage of an extra 30 mins at their ground if it finishes level after the 2nd leg
tyabb bear 63
Keep the away goal rule, but in extra time in the snd leg should be even
Inigo 32,526
No. Think it adds a bit of spice to European competitions.

SuperPapac05 3,383
I'd change it. I fucking hate it. Fuck losing out when you have the same score on aggregate because the other team scored one more goal at your place.
Cobham 1,569
I'd scrap it. I think it's served it's time and doesn't encourage attacking football like it was supposed to.
esquire8 42,315
Should be gone. Yes we made it to Manchester in 08 with it but times have changed now. It's too much of a decider in 2 leg ties that it ruins how the game should be played.
Gaz52 11,837
Obviously great when it works for you and gut-wrenching when it works against you
