Potential mate, unfulfilled potential.

Danny Wilson was playing Champions League football at a similar age and look how he turned out.

Yeah, point taken mate.

Is it too late for Waghorn to fulfil his potential? Let Pedro be the judge of his credentials.

He has some good attributes but some glaringly obvious weaknesses, let the new manager try set his team up to utilise his strengths and then we can form our opinions.

If we make a decent profit from Warburton buying the players he brought here, will his signings for us be considered a success?

What would you class as decent?

Bear in mind how much we have spent on wages while the players have been here.

So it just happens that three similar clubs in the middle of England have spontaneously and independently taken an interest in Waghorn.

Just shows agents are upping thier act as we get towards the end of the season as the Summer transfer window approaches, spreading rumours and fanning "interest" in strategic areas, then sitting back abd watching the media and fans do the rest.................

He definitely has some ability but I think his game would probably benefit from a change of position. You're either a natural finisher or you're not, it's not something you can be taught IMO.

Sadly for Waghorn he lacks the composure in front of goal but still seems to see himself as a striker, that will be his downfall here.

I like Waghorn's attitude, and on form he holds the ball well and fights to get in to decent positions.

Only problem is he struggles to convert chances  to goals at a consistent rate.

If he immproves his goal ratio he is definitely a keeper.

No he's not, he's a striker.

Obviosly Waghorn realised his goal conversion rate is a problem hence the reason he went to the specialist striker training stuff.

Most top strikers have a selfish streak which allows them more confidence in going straight for goal. Being forced in to a tight team orientered plan, often negates that.

Maybe our ex-manager should have got more involved and managed the problem better, rather than leaving it to the player. Me ?  I'd have said to him go out there and be a greedy wee cunt and see how it goes for a few games.

Maybe Pedro will give him more confidence and the space to do this ?

He came out after the game and said he wanted to be here next season.

Sure he does. But he hasn't done nearly enough to warrant consideration. Too many gilt edged opportunities squandered due to indecision or a bad first touch.

Not instinctive enough and not clinical enough. He's had plenty chances and consistently failed to deliver. Not fit to wear the jersey in the SPL. Move the cunt on.

We've been that bad this season that he's way down the queue of players we need rid of.

As I said I'd rather get rid of Dodoo and Garner and keep Waghorn as I think there could be a player in him somewhere.
