Niko Kranjcar interview

Can't help but sympathise for the guy. He was brought in, made to play alongside an equally immobile Joey Barton who didn't bother his arse to cover for Kranjcar, and then when he finally hit some form he got a serious injury. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and you could argue that, like many of Warburton's signings, the risk involved should've had the alarm bells ringing that it was a bad recruitment. However, there's no doubting the quality Niko has when he's got a run of games under his belt.

Watching that first game in July against Motherwell had me so hopeful for the season. Himself and Windass were superb. Then young Rossiter came in and showed glimpses of his quality too. Sadly, we know now how short that would last.
