And now with the season officially underway, We'll need to get round to starting a new thread.

Now that we've finally got our Membership up to a respectable number, it's time for me to go and start spending some of that money wisely.  :winnings:

So I shall go and attend to some of these matters.

Bit those of you who haven't got your donation in yet - don't worry - I shall leave you in the hands of our very own Tenacious Z.

@Zetland - There's at least 36 bones buried out there - You wanna go digging?

Many Thanks to @SW3 and @WILLIAM BEAR who have both donated their seats for Wednesday's cup game.

It's two single seats, so not really suitable for our Old Veterans, so instead I've asked Erskine Transport to give the tickets to two Erskine Staff members.

Erskine Staff Love The Rangers as much as Erskine Veterans do, so it's nice to be able to give a wee treat to a couple of Staff on their day off.

And happy Staff at Erskine obviously equates to happier Veterans too.  It's not rocket science. :p:

And it's also better than those two seats sitting empty. :rangers:

And of course, as well as those two donated seats, our 10 Erskine and Combat Stress Smartcards have also been activated for the Cup Game.  We're on the CCCS now, so that was all straightforward enough.

Total cost: £96

and the 4 Erskine Bishopton tickets are also activated, since Club1872 have also signed their 4 Erskine Bishopton Smartcards up for all Home Games too. :rangers:

So that's good that I have so little organising to do for Cup Games now.  Just need to make sure there's always enough money left in the Fund to pay for a Great Cup Run. :rangers:

So now let's turn our attention to Erskine Wishes.

Erskine Bishopton's next Wishing Wall Wish is for more of the same.

The Gentlemen of Pearson House (Erskine Bishopton) enjoyed themselves tremendously on their recent Ibrox Stadium Tour and Argyle Restaurant Lunch.

So much so that there's now a waiting list to get on them.

So we'll try to set up another one some time soon to let another Erskine Bishopton House enjoy the experience.  I forget exactly how many houses there are in Bishopton, but it's at least 6, so we still have some work to do !!

As usual that will cost about £180 or less for a party of 10. :rangers:

And it will probably  look something like this one...

And now on to Erskine Park Home.  Which for those of you who don't know is the smaller home (Specialised Dementia care for 40 Residents) next door to the Big Home (Bishopton, 180 Residents)

Erskine Park have been on a Stadium Tour recently, so I asked them what else we could help with.

Here's the reply, just received today...

Hi gb,

Our fete was a great success raising over £2000 for our home. The Rangers merchandise sold well and helped to swell the coffers so please thank your guys for the donation.  We’re all set for  games on Wednesday night and Saturday with residents looking forward to getting back to Ibrox for a great season, hopefully!

We’re off to Rothesay on 19th of this month for the highland games. This trip will grant 3 wishes from our tree. I know you were thinking of sponsoring this trip but we never really firmed things up. Let me know if you still want to be involved,

Kind Regards,

Carol

WATP

The Veterans sure do love a good old fashioned Highland Games.  And who can blame them?

Erskine Glasgow,

well their main wish was to get out of the rain a bit (they were at the front of West Enclosure 5 and it's pretty wet and windy out there sometimes (almost all times in fact!!),  so we've managed to get a seat move closer to the halfway line (West Enclosure 4, Still Row C, which is perfect but now also on the aisle with SW3, right across from their Bishopton Comrades),  and much more sheltered.  And still Row C, meaning there is only one step to negotiate.

That one cost nothing, except the support of our Ever-Wonderful Ticket Office

:rangers:

So now that's sorted, I'll need to have a word with them and see if they've got another Wish we can help them with.

Never knew about this. My ST will go to staff if I can't attend any games this season.
