cascadeshrimp 1,455
Thanks for your efforts and especially that goal at the Gary Glitterdome All the best
Inigo 32,526
Good luck to the big man. He's done well. Makes sense. If you want to bring your own in, then an out of contract 38 year old is going to struggle to get a new contract when we have so many in contract that might prove harder to get rid of. If a better player comes in then it's all good.
Dryhorse 7
Gordon Greer is a leader he was Brighton captain has a year left keeps himself is shape can read the game has top notch positional sense knows the league why not?
dummiesoot 16,005
A good honest pro with an excellent attitude, cheers for the goal at the paedodome and best of luck.
Captain Hilts 12,819
Few different sources going with this now so probably correct. All the best Clint. One of the very few who's looked like he actually gave a shit this season and always gave 100%. Also made my first ever visit to the paedodome a memorable one
one55 1,510
All the best Clint! You only spent a short time here but gave your best unlike some others we still have. Hope he gets another club.
King Jela 20,361
Fair enough. One of the few positives from the season and he clearly loved it here. All the best, big man.

pcbear 10,913
After a right shaky start he turned out a steady player, someone will get a good season out of him, I wish him luck.
Thermopylae 15,286
Far from the worst this season just a shame he's not a bit younger
To Be A Ranger 4,032
I liked him. He gave everything he had and steadied the defence to a certain extent. Great memories of his goal at the piggery Good decision though by Caixinha. We've got to free up wages etc if we expect new signings.
With Heart and Hand 8,949
He should have been kept until a replacement was secured. All the best Clint, one of the few who showed passion this season, no doubt he'll remember his OF goal for the rest of his life and he deserves the memory
there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Just seeing this now. TBH I'm a wee bit disappointed I'd this is true, but I can totally understand why PC would want to release him. All the best Clint and thanks for the effort and the memories. OnwardsandUpwards 834
Thanks for all your efforts big man and especially THAT goal! In a season full of puddings you were one of only a few shining sixpence! Will be testament to his pride and professionalism that ,if selected to play in the remainder of our games, he will no doubt give 100% as always even though he knows his services are no longer required.Puts the vast majority of the rest of the squad to shame. Good luck in finding a new club and in whatever you do in the future. You deserve not only all our best wishes but also a fitting send off from us grateful fans. bombaybadboy08 15,660
I suspect as FSM said that this is more to do with wages than anything else, so I wouldn't be getting excited, it's King in charge after all. Hope he finds another club and has a great end to his career, the big fella deserves it.
Moody Blue Legend 61,463
Good luck big man. Proper defender who would go to the trenches for his team mates.
StirlingBear72 476
Would run through a brick wall for the team. Thanks for your service, no surrender big Clint. Sad to see him go.
GaryMc 2,394
I think in order to become a more offensive and dominant team from midfield to forward we need pace at the back. As much as I liked Hill we need to get pace and power at the back. Too often we'd be caught out with a high line due to having no pace or on the flip side sit too deep and not have the midfield to pull us forward which would cause problems as well. All the best though big man. One of only a small number of players that did himself proud this year.
Aubie92 1,074
I think it's the right move. He's been the best of a bad bunch defensively, but he's not of the standard we need if we want to kick on and challenge for the title. Plus it's a bit daft giving him another year if he's not going to be playing regularly, especially when we'll have shitehawks we can't get rid of. Doubt he'll struggle to get a deal with a League One side down south, or possibly a team in the Championship.
DumfriesLoyal 18
All the best big man. One of the few who showed a bit of fight and passion on the park for us this season. Would of loved to have him around for another season
BloodRunsBlue 1,303
All the best Clint. He is a good hard working, honest pro, and I would love to see him stay in the game, so hopefully he goes to another club and takes on a player/coaching role. If so, good luck big man. GWR1979 1,964
The correct decision hopefully the start of moving players on. I bet he's on big wages as well.
Malvern 11,329
Sad to see him go next season as I think he could have done us a turn as backup to whoever comes in but understandable so all the best to him and hope he carries on for a few more years.
