Most humiliating season in our history

100% the most embarrassing.

This nightmare started with Barton calling-out Brown which backfired and fucking Senderos jumping on the #goingfor55 campaign; we did a card display for that in the Govan stand on the opening day, then proceeded to be dominated by Hamilton. We lost 5-1 to the Tims in a performance they turned into a DVD, then conceded a last minute winner against them at Hampden to hand them a place in the League Cup final and their first trophy. Barton, our marquee signing, spent spent two months suspended while the club said fuck all. Out of nowhere, the club announced that Warburton had resigned, which he denied; a complete car crash and laughing stock. The following week, having "resigned", the club are still playing his face and voice on the Follow With Pride campaign on the big screen. Amatuer. As if the 5-1 game at Parkhead wasn't enough, they did the exact fucking same at Ibrox. Utter humiliation. Our most expensive signing in five years, Joe Garner, is having his song - cringeworthy in the first place as he's abysmal - chanted by opposing fans at Ibrox because he's that bad, yet we have a large portion of the support who actually rate him. Our new manager brings us nothing; absolutely fucking nothing. His press conferences are painful and his tactics are a shambles.

We are facing finishing this season 40+ points behind them.

The Motherwell Play-Off final season was embarrassing at the time, but this season has been relentless, consistent and regular humiliation, from the very start until the very end.

I genuinely don't enjoy going to Ibrox any more.

A didn't get back from the game until late last night, a couldn't even be arsed putting a comment on, a was disgusted to say the least,am 44,so since a have been going a would say it's got to be a season well forgotten,a think a lot of us have been fortunate to see us going through a great phase from Souness era until about five years ago, but to see us coming through the league's and end up at this stage this season is sickening,a just want to ask, this will go out to some of our older readers, does this feel worse than the taigs winning through the late sixties and into the seventies, because am sure our team had a bit of steel and guts about it then, now just seems terrible to watch.

The most embarrassing season in our history.

However, the most embarrassing result was getting beat 3-2 from Alloa after being 2-0 up. Never seen a Rangers team like it.

They should all go, imposters

I thought the ramsden's cup final defeat to raith rovers was worse, what a shite day that was

we're becoming 'specialists in failure'

Agreed. Some older bears might say differently. In my early 30's and today is the lowest I have ever felt about Rangers.

The perfect word is disillusioned.

Another word is depressed. Depressed right out my box.

This is the first time in my life after a heavy defeat where I have zero confidence that we will bounce back through hard work, fight, determination. Seen none of that last night and it honestly makes me want to greet!

youngsters made a good account of themselves on a positive note.

Like everyone else on here Rangers is in my blood though and with all that said I will be there through all the highs and lows for the rest of my life. All future players and managers will have my full support.

Is it fuck.

We failed to get out of the Championship under Ally, finished 3rd under McLeish despite having the likes of Ferguson, Prso and Ricksen, and we've had multi-multi-million pound squads finish 20+ points below Celtic in the league.

We also blew 10 in a row, despite vastly outspending everyone.

This has been a bad season, but it's a rebuilding process. Realistically, European football was the aim and we've got it.

You seem to have forgotten why we were in that play off.

19 wins out of 36 in a league of pub teams. 24 points of the top in a lower division.

And then to top it off humiliated by the second bottom team in the league we are now disgusted at finishing 3 rd in

Worse by far

i'm just fucking annoyed that we've let our two biggest rivals win at ibrox for the first time in decades or get their highest score.

i would love if we came up this season then finished 1st but we need to be a bit realistic. it was unlikely to happen and it didn't. don't see it happening for a while yet unless that board of donkeys show the money.

the only positives this season for me is that we aren't any further down the league table and that we got into european football. i'm not too optimistic about that though. we'll probably get put out straight away.

we're in serious threat of becoming a mediocre diddy team. the board need to get their shit together or start looking for someone to take over.

I could not agree more brother. Worst of all, I've got £50 riding on us not finishing 40 points behind them with a guy in work. I never thought I'd see the day. Barton was a car crash and Garner ain't the answer.

I genuinely could not disagree any more if I tried.

I'm not sure if you're simply trying to reassure yourself, but what you've posted there is blown out of the water by what I've listed from this season.

What a debate to have. Incredible.

I'm sticking to onfield matters mate. The other bits are irrelevant if your team does the business.

Ref: Most humiliating season in our history

This situation was predicted from the moment the club were only allowed to sign out of contract players. That punishment set us back years. Then we had the situation that previous managers were paying a fortune in wages, for players who could only help us get promoted. Pedro doing the right thing by auditing the squad and starting a new cycle where we are buying decent players.

It's ghastly. Fucking awfulZ I've a mate that's an Inverness fan. I bet her £ a point rangers finished in front of Inverness. It was 26 We've picked up 11 more points than them now since Christmas. Now it's 37 meaning we've picked up 11 more points than bottom of league since Christmas what a joke.

For me this year is nowhere near the worst . Under McCoist not getting up from the championship would be tops and then a few seasons under John Greig , one in particular where we finished 5th just pipping Dundee for this position on the last game of the season

I thought losing in the playoffs two years was bad enough but this takes the biscuit to be honest.

And it's mental to think we still reached the Europa League. Making up the numbers for the preliminary rounds sadly.

Hi U obvs never watched us in the early 80's where a 5-1 tanking from the sheep was common nevermind "Them"

We are lucky it's a poor league these days because I suspect if this team could be parachuted into the mid 80s we would be lower than the 5th position of 86

Exactly the standard is so poor now it's frightening, Scottish football's been on it's knees for a while and has only been run for one club.

Hard to believe that a team containing Coup, Russell, McMinn, Ally with Durrant and Ferguson in their pomp finished 5th
