Warburton's legacy

Recommended Posts

There are a dozen different posts on here saying sack Pedro. And whilst I am not convinced that Pedro will turn out to be the answer to our problems the inescapable fact is that Warburton has done as much damage to our club as the wage thief mccoist. In my opinion not one of the players Warburton signed are or will be Rangers class, foderingham is an ok goalie but no more than that,Miller and Garner are hailed as heroes just for the fact that they put a bit of effort in,the rest of the fuckers he left us with are an embarrassment to the jersey. Davie Weir wouldn't know a centre half from a centre circle and Mcparland was announced as the Messiah who would unearth countless new wonder kids from thin air. Barton, crooks, windass,Garner,Rossiter, senderos, the list is endless and frightening. His loan signings were mediocre and I doubt if we will ever hear of any of them in the future. I am not going to pretend that I was not one of the many who believed in the magic hat but for me the Barton signing was my wake up call as everything about him is the opposite of what I was brought up believing made a Rangers player. I believe or hope that Pedro has used his dozen or less games in charge to actually see what type of players he has inherited and if by changing formations see if he could maybe bring out a player in some of the dross left behind. Sacking Pedro after a few games would be lunacy,Warburton is to blame for us being the basket case we are just now not Pedro. I will end by mentioning MOH,how any cunt thought this anti Rangers bead rattling fucker was fit to wear our jersey is the biggest fuck up of the lot.

We're a sad case at the moment, but the conman chairman we have will be finding out that you can only con the people for so long.

A complete change out is needed of our playing staff, and our board are equally as second rate.

Going for 55, I'm sure that is 55% because that's what we've got, from top to bottom.

The problem is, in this team, they are 'heroes' to fans for that reason.

We should 11 people on the park putting effort in, 3 ready to put effort in coming on as subs.

When you can only pick out two players who put effort in consistently (and, IMO, it should actually just be Miller), then there is a huge problem in the team.

Did we replace Warburton with a better manager? That is a crucial question. I liked Warburton, because he was for the long term- there was no budget of note, and Auchenhowie was the future of the club, and there are signs that what he was doing there was slowly paying off. Sack Warburton then that long term objective means nothing anymore, so we have to deliver the goods now. We have not replaced Warburton with a better manager, and if he gets it right at Nottingham Forest, and if he spends on quality players with a good budget then many Rangers fans will then wonder what might have been. The only reasonable outcome of moving Warburton on would have been for a better alternative; nothing else.

The situation we were and are in then Tommy Wright was and still probably is the man for the job.

The absolute worst thing about this season is that we haven't progressed. We haven't got closer to cellic, because of the disaster of last summers signings. Bringing in Toral and Hyndman was a stop gap emergency measure that has also failed. We still have a championship squad.

That is sadly true, and a squad which struggled in the Championship as well at times.

Warburton was nothing more than an academy coach promoted above his pay grade. So on that note I hope he got Auchenhowie on the right track for the future.

As for the first team squad, he has left a shambles behind helped along by a board not fit for purpose.

Can't blame Pedro for me, he only had 4 players on the bench last night due to injury, and if you believe some people, other players refusing to play for him.

I don't envy Pedro he has a truly mammoth task ahead of him and his "warriors" need to hit the ground running, there's no 2 ways about it, we can't afford another season of constant struggle, the longer we struggle the easier we become to beat, the less likely we look to ever get back to where we should be.

People praising him because he's playing the youngsters, whilst I agree that they should be getting a chance he's only really playing them because of the true warburton legacy, a very small squad of duds, he left us with next to no cover in many positions, 1 player for the left wing, 1 player for the right, no defensive midfielder, I'm glad we're in Europe but think it's gonna come too soon in to the season for us to get a good crack at it.

He obviously wasn't helped by a board who didn't want him or want to back him, but if they never wanted him in the first place why even give him the job, for me the true problem lies with the board.

An egotistical, smug, two faced, backstabbing clown who will continue his pattern of lasting 18 months at a club when Forest realise this.

Ridiculous. Obviously he fucked up massively, but ultimately he was trying his best. Absolutely no comparison to mccoist.

Funnily enough on the MOH front, I watched the end of semi final and penalties again. When the players are going around shaking hands etc, at one point MOH shakes (I think) millers hand. He looks absolutely glum faced. Very much someone pretending to be involved in something. He should never have been signed.

That's a key thing for me. I was in the 'Warburton Out' camp towards the end of his tenure but I think all we have done is taken a sideways step. We have even abandoned this talk of building the club with one philosophy because we've gone from the slow build up passing game of Warburton to out and out direct long ball football under Pedro.

I'm not saying I wish Warburton was still here but it's going to be pretty interesting to see what he does at Nottingham Forrest during the Summer and into next season.

I was in the Warburton in camp, but had there been a better alternative, and a budget for that person, such as De Boer, then I would have accepted that. I think you are right, it is sideways, and I hope it's not backwards, but I think we could end up going backwards.

Reallistically we cannot afford De Boer et al. I'm running out of answers as the bheasts are getting stronger. God knows when this will end.

Pay peanuts gets monkeys.regardless of our own low budget Ronny delia if you have a squad full of free transfers loans and player used to mediocrity you will get exactly what has happened this season.

we are now left with a squad full of players we don't want and a board who wouldn't get credit from brighthouse.

Unless he's planning on coming in for Kiernan, Halliday, MOH, Forrester, Windass, Waghorn, Garner he can go take a run and jump.

These players were fired up and animated when they signed and it's Warburtons piss poor socialists wet dream of a work environment that his turned them into absolute pansies and shitebags.

Under Pedro its true we don't have one style but I think that was one of Warburtons failings. If Pedro goes out and signs a solid defender, solid holding midfielder, good wingers and a striker that can finish and play to those strengths then for me that's better than tippy tappy football outside the box, lose the ball and get hit on the counter.

Nice ideas, weak mind. Signed players with weak mentality. Think skinned and built a team in that image.
