LeeWallaceRFC 3,920
He's 10x the player of any central midfielder we have. Our team is shite on the whole, but it literally has no backbone because the midfield is dog shit. Nothing comes from the midfield, we can't tackle, no creativity and so on. He'd be a start. TMB 14,167
If we're going to spend £1m on a footballer surely there's someone better than Kenny McLean.

6superbarry6 14,132
We should've signed him from St Mirren for 200k another McCoist fuck up

Surprised at that considering he's a bear and would've earned more here, maybe McCoist feared his accuracy in the bare arse training challenge

If he resigned we wouldn't have been required to keep paying him up until Christmas.
Tenerife Bear 1,748
I was under the impression AM knocked back KM, the player was desperate for the move but Ally didn't fancy him. Money was not the issue.

HG5 11,064
So...... We've got: McCoist not fancying McLean. McCoist resigning as the last straw, because the board wouldn't back him in paying for McLean. McLean knocking back a McCoist bid, because he thought a move to the sheep would be better for his development. Which is it to be?

This doesn't make McLean a poor player or a bad buy by default, I'm not suggesting that. However, the club would need to trust the managers ability to spot potential rather than proven talent. I'm not really sure that seven figures gets you all that much. Clubs are paying 7 figures for 15 and 16 year olds with nothing more than potential.
