RANGERS manager Pedro Caixinha wants Hearts winger Jamie Walker.

Walker’s performances caught the eye of the Portuguese, who is keen to take him to Ibrox this summer.

And Caixinha is ready to make it a double deal for Scotland international Callum Paterson.

It would take an offer well in excess of £1million to land the pair. Walker, 23, has been one of Hearts’ star performers and is going into the final year of his Tynecastle contract.

The Jambos will have to decide whether to take the cash now or risk losing him for nothing next summer. Paterson is currently recovering from cruciate surgery and is out of contract, although Hearts would still be entitled to compensation.

Cardiff City and Ipswich are also keen on the 22-year-old right-back.

Aberdeen midfielder Ryan Jack is likely to sign for the Light Blues when his contract expires after this weekend’s Scottish Cup Final. Motherwell pair Ben Heneghan and Louis Moult are also among their targets, along with Partick centre-half Liam Lindsay, Dons midfielder Kenny McLean and Cagliari defender Bruno Alves.

Caixinha is willing to listen to offers for several first-team players including Martyn Waghorn, Josh Windass, Rob Kieran and Harry Forrester, while Ipswich are keen on Joe Garner.

Would be an excellent signing, but our use of the Scottish market needs to end with him and possibly McLean assuming the Jack signing is nearly done. We won't be catching Celtic with a Best of the Rest XI from the SPFL.

Surely you'd ask for something more exciting than MOH for Walker haha.

Would be a good signing but so many names have been mentioned and supposedly we were getting players in at the start of this week. I will only believe it when its posted on the clubs web site

Possibly, but the prospect of getting shot of MOH for a better player is very appealing

Hope this happens, I'd give them MOH as a makeweight and play Walker as a starter, with Paterson as back up.

Nice to see we're being linked with not just international players from Mexico and Portugal but home grown players too, all the best Rangers sides when I was growing up had a good mix of the 2, would feel weird seeing a Rangers 11 made up mostly of foreign players, but we need some international flavour about is.

Onwards and upwards.

David Templeton tore us apart on numerous occasions it means nothing, it's one thing standing out at an average Scottish club it's quite another doing it under the intense pressure and scrutiny at Rangers. See Ian Black, Sandaza, Kyle, Holt, Wilson, Clark & MOH as just a few more examples.
