blueretro 704
I thought "What's weird about moving to Dundee?" and then I looked up where he is going. Fuck me, that is weird! Anywhere's better than Dundee right enough
Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
Has he actually signed for them yet?? Was under the impression the was joining them for a preseason tour in Austria, but no indication that he is completely joining up with Azerbaijan side at the moment. The only thing that could stop it is a possible language barrier

Hope it works out for him. Being fluent in Azerbaijani should come in handy in later life when he moves back to the Copland Road?
miracle 7,789
Something a bit different from Walsall, Bradford or Blackpool I suppose. Good luck to him.

Goianegra 4,680
Some of you are so cynical We want him off our books and when we actually find someone willing to take him there's some hidden agenda? Guy probably just wants first team football with the hopes of coming back and playing a bigger role for his boyhood team.

King Jela 20,360
It is a strange move, you'd think his past experience down south would have gotten him a move down there, even on loan. Then again that just shows you how bad he is in midfield
miracle 7,789
Maybe the allure of being a big fish in a small pond has attracted him to go there. He's unlikely to experience that again. Or it could be the only offer on the table.

Bluepeter9 5,167
It's a move that allows him the chance to play and experience something different - got to be better than say, Bradford or Dundee! Hard to dislike him and I hope all works out well for him.
SuperPapac05 3,383
Fair play to Haliday for taking the move. A lot of players would have shat it and fucked off to a league 2 club in England. But he's getting out there and trying something new. Plus he'll be getting a tidy wage, regular games, fuck all pressure and glorious sun and stunning burds. DrLaudrup 4,563
I read his comments about it and thought he spoke honestly and well. Knows he's not been good enough, doesn't want to sit around taking money and not playing, wants an opportunity to show he's worth of a place at the club. Even if it doesn't work out his attitude is the correct one.
