We can't sack a manager we've just invested the best part of £10m in to. That is ridiculous.

Its a shite situation but sacking him and replacing him with someone who has to spend the full season with players he may not want would almost certainly be a disaster.

Deal with it now it in the Autumn - he's fucked either way

Made the mistake of clicking that link, to see they have another article about pissed fans signing about the Lisbon Lions. Some daft tube posted it all in his Twitter feed, ffs when will these people learn not to make things easy for journalists and the permo offended by posting on social media. This Facebook generation , they are going to be the ruin of themselves and the club.

Just means they won't see it cause they won't win it :pipe:

Plan B can't to sack him.   If this was the plan then it'd be done by now.

Plan B can't be find a new manager because in taking full responsibility he's resigned.  Because there is no notification of him having resigned.

Plan B friendlies haven't been announced.

Maybe Plan B is to take the first team squad to Portugal or Mexico for some more pre-season warm up / holiday plus some bounce games against local sides.

Maybe Plan B is to give the players some holiday time and hope they come back fit and refreshed and ready to play.   They already play like they've never met each other before or trained with each other before or understood whatever tactics the manager has set out so just turning up in time for the first game might not make the current way of working any worse.

Maybe Plan B is the players who are not Portuguese or Mexican go off to a language school for some intensive training to learn to speak Portuguese and Mexican so that they can communicate better with the manager and the foreign players.

There must actually be a Plan B.  Surely they have had enough time now to decide what they are going to do for the next month.  Or maybe the legacy of Warburton lingers on and any talk of a Plan B is banned.

I'm sure they'll get round to saying something soon about how they intend to fill in the vacant time.

A couple of games against a good side who play well out of the spotlight of the Scottish media and which is far enough away to make for a longish travel there and back plus some and some holiday time and sightseeing.    I'd suggest a couple of games against FC Ulaanbaatar.and Ulaanbaatar City FC.

Should be challenging enough for Pedro's squad.   They are about as unknown as unknown gets and should be a good fit with Pedro's approach to team selection and tactics which is also about as unknown as unknown gets.   Who knows, he may get to like it over there and tout for a job managing one of the local sides.

I doubt anyone thought we'd be out this early

True - feasible we might have been out in another fortnight, though, so some contingency might have been foreseen.
