What's happened in the recent 'Statement Years' is that suddenly there was copious serious copy, from financial to fiscal, spiv to statement that would fill the pages between the actual on-field football. To take a step back and read an article aimed at a mental age of 10-12 might be a bit of a relative 'shock' but Scottish football journalism has always been around this level.
