Its to with when they used to play cricket on their day off. They were formed from the Wednesday Cricket club.

Funnily enough they Cricket club played at Bramall Lane.

they'd have been as well keeping the cricket at bramall lane considering the shite football club that use it now.

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on here but I'm buzzing that the second friendly between us has been announced. Do you think it'll be as good as last time?

& just a slight thought for youse as well, it may be a little cheaper and more cost effective if you were to stay in Doncaster or Rotherham than to pay over the odds in Sheffield hotels on the Saturday night as I presume your fans will be booking them all up rather quickly

Looking forward to getting out for a few beers with you all and having a sing song on Saturday night and on match day too

WATP

Mate.......I'm in a wheelchair staying at the Garrison Hotel. Is the journey to the ground on the level, and where is most convenient place for a few beers after the game?

Thanks.

Garrison is a decent hotel pal. You can have a sup at the hotel because its fitted out with a restaurant and bar area, or (depending on the Police/door staff) 15 minutes up the rd is Hillsborough corner with a few dram shops in that area. You wont get any trouble from our fans, a lot have Gers as their 'second team'.

Failing all that just jump on a tram straight in to town and get off at West st .

Were booked into the welcome inn in Rotherham. Do you know if it's any good and how far away from sheffield is that?

You'll need a taxi to the train station but it's only a 5 minute drive so it won't be dear at all. Then the train to Sheffield is about 10 minutes. They're regular from platform 1

FFS why the discussion about Rangers affiliation with other teams, in this case Sheff W or Sheff U?   Not arsed which team other fans support or which team Rangers fans follow as a second team (as long as they don't wear green (Plymouth Argyle is the exception), so put this discussion to bed, as long as someone supports the Bears I am not arsed.
