TMB 14,167
You’re looking for box office in Scottish football? Dutch legend Edgar Davids is the latest high profile name to throw his name into the ring for the Hearts job - as ex-England boss Steve McLaren emerged as a major candidate to replace Ian Cathro. Davids is desperate for a managerial chance in Britain and the 44-year-old former Holland star sees Tynecastle as the perfect opportunity. RangersMedia 35,961
There have been some pretty good signings player-wise in Scottish football and I think the standard is slightly higher than last year. Us adding more internationals and Hearts bringing in any high profile person as manager can only be a good thing for Scottish football. You'll get the usual suspects who will come along and say "fuck Scottish football" then complain like fuck when we get knocked out of European qualifiers by shite teams. We need the league to be of a decent standard. To get to that we need more money to be invested in the league. The only way that's going to happen is if teams are more competitive and have high profile players and managers

big blue Fin 3,724
Why would someone with a pedigree like Edgar David's even bother looking at Hearts?

Even so Hearts are unlikely to bother the top half of the league this season unless something remarkable happens at Tynecastle.

They will hopefully be relegation fodder this year regardless of their manager. But Davids is an awful manager as he has shown at his previous clubs.
