Stokes should have been off for the Tavernier incident, or at least shown a second yellow for the grab on Jack.

Having said that, though, Dorrans is lucky to have remained on the pitch. He started the scuffle that saw Jack sent-off by reacting to a tackle, then putting his hands on that boys throat. You can't do that.

Were really going to be up against this until the club start calling these cheats out.

Clancy, Beaton, Thomson, Madden are always stick ons for our matches, especially the bigger games so we're basically playing against 11 and the ref, it's actually become that bad.

Collum next

Finally got a good look at the Jack incident on Sportscene last night, he basically pressed his forehead against Stokes' and the referee deemed that sufficient for a red. I've seen these incidents being ignored or just get yellows so thought it was harsh. But Jack needs to calm down, it went back to the Tav/Stokes bust up when he got involved in that and that simmered on to the red incident.

Even the Sportscene panel thought Stokes' grappling of Tav was a red. Poor refereeing but the team needs to show more discipline here not to give refs these opportunities to flash cards. No doubt the red changed the course of the game, but the team could have responded better to going a man down.

Exactly. Refereeing is shite up here and it's something we have to be wary of and deal with.

Aye stokes could have got sent off 3 times but that's no reason to lose the plot. The team and fans suffer then.

As soon as you offer your head it's a straight red. It's the rules. Worse still the ref was a foot behind him. Jack needs to be smarter. Not just the head incident he tossed mcgeouch by the throat aswell. He was going regardless.

The worst response for going a man down was 100% caixinha. Didn't recognise it was a close battle in the middle of the park, as soon as jack went we needed another ball winner on.

Not Pena at 65mins.

By letter of the law it was a sending off.

However Stokes should have been off for the Tav incident, then should have received a second yellow card for involvement in Jack melee.

McGeouch should have been off also.

Yeah, I stand corrected as well. Jack's is correct and he's foolish. Cost us big time.

Stokes getting away with both incidents is still criminal though.

He has to realise he's not at Aberdeen any more and referees are much less likely to let that sort of thing go with us
