the blame game

so when do we move from:

bad ref

poor player

bad luck

into

an abomination, a lack of purpose, drive, ability

when do we recognise our monetary shortfall, our inability to turn  profit, to perform at a level of excitement which ensures the paying punter a decent emotional return on their investment

Lets face it, this current board have delivered, for the paying fan, the square root of F all, a procession of banal inequity. an inability to provide the minimum expectation.... a trophy

who can defend this debacle? Should we now demand change?

The board are culpable in their appointment of Caixinha but they backed him with money for players and punted those he didn't want out the door. I'm no huge fan of where they are taking the club but this current debacle lies at one person's door.

Positivity about the Sports Direct deal, etc are all forgotten about and worthless when the manager is failing badly.  Yes replica jerseys aren't available but can you imagine how much money would be gained by the club if we'd been top of the league, undefeated when they became available?  We've dropped home points to a newly promoted, hated, team and a team without a manager. That is not the board's doing, they've backed their appointment with funds for players he wanted. Maybe not them all but no manager gets everything he / she asks for.

What sort of change did you have in mind?

The board are ultimately responsible but it's also in their remit to act (and is their duty to)

The problem is in doing so it means the egotistical cretins in our boardroom admit they are wrong and have failed on the football front.

Some might argue King delegated away the manager recruitment to Robertson, Dickson and Park - but the buck still stops with him as he took that decision to allow them to make the decision.

Then Robertson, Park and Dickson come into focus for being taken in by Pedro's bullshit and being too civil to Pedro Mendes who I liked as a player for us but when he left us he should have left with our best wishes, not with the promise of favours 5 or 6 years later.

Then above all Pedro for the footballing decisions. Everything football-related goes through him from signings to tactics to preparations to training to substitutions and he's been an absolute failure from day one.

Rangers absolutely astound me sometimes at how a football club in every single department (football, scouting, stadium maintenence, ticketing, fan relations, boardroom, finances, PR) can be so mismanaged and all at once.

It's unrealistic to expect the boardroom scum to sell their shares and resign from their positions with better people coming in but they are in a position to act and axe Pedro and claw back some goodwill and buy themselves more time with a proper football managerial appointment this time.

Will they, though? doubt it, because, as I said at the start it will look bad on them and all they care about is themselves and not the club or the fans. That's obvious.

a successful one

if you take the plaudits, engage the troops, then you need to deliver. We can all allow a timeframe of reasonableness but, at some point, delivery is an expectation.

Agreed. But specifically, who do you have in mind and how would they gain control?
