Guivar'ch was average at best in the World Cup (he was taken off in the first half hour in their opening game) and was only in the squad because Jacquet needed a work horse to allow Zidane and Djorkaeff to play off and he didn't fully trust Dugarry to put in a shift.

We also signed him from Newcastle where he was discarded after 4 games.

In fact I think he actually surprised most on signing for us because we weren't expecting much but he did a job in the limited amount of time he was with us.

Yeah i remember him point is he has a world cup winners medal.

Yeah wish we had someone now who could put a ball into the box like that, btw did you spot the tim celebrating just as the cross was sent in around 0.34, must have been a fucking  psychic

The clip doesn't show it, but the camera was on Rod Stewart's missus taking a video of the jungle Jim's celebrating, when they had to cut away quickly to McCann flying down the wing!

Perfect way to shut that lot up!

Think you might be getting mixed up mate, unless it's another time it happened, that was when Lafferty won the corner and McCulloch scored the header.

Sort of manager we should have looked to bring in. The Ajax selling youth model is one we should adopt but no-one decent is going to come anywhere near us for the foreseeable future. Incredible football brain and more importantly a good set of football contacts to bring in promising young players.
