5 titles in 50 years, hardly successful either.

You have to remember they do not play in a league that is dominated only by 2 teams, it is much more difficult league and also they stay to their Mexican players only idea. They are a successful club and a very big club.

Athletico Bilbao, 8 leagues, none for 33 years, stick only to basque players, not successful.

One league win, doesn't make you successful.

 My friend, they are reigning champions, won the clausura this season, they have won the league second most times in Mexico and you say they are not successful? All this in a league that is tougher than Scotland. Ok whatever you say.

See when talking about mexican football, one have to keep in mind that is a very competitive championship, and there is a lot of clubs that were champios in the past that now are extinct or became social clubs for example Real Club España, Asturias, Germania, etc. Also there are two eras in mexican football the ameturism and professionalism the later starting in the early 40's, football here it is not dominated by just two clubs that win all, instead we have a very irregular championship in wich everyone could become champion. So for our standars, culture and history in football, Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) is a big and successful club, 22 titles in all national competitions just behind our biggest rivals América 27, both have 12 league titles.

Very big club

They aren't. Also, is that league not the one where you can finish around mid table then it goes into a playoff and you can still win the title through that? Pish

You clearly have no idea about football there at all if you do not think Chivas are a massive club. You obviously have never been to Mexico before to see just how big support they have and obvious you never seen any LigaMX games to see how much better standard and how difficult league it is. I think it is funny that deluded people especially you who think Rangers is a worldwide name but you will find that the majority of the Chivas support would not know who Rangers are or think Rangers are not big club no more. You have no clue my friend just you continue being ignorant.
