Strange how things change.

Lion Rampants on display.

These were the days our supporters buses booked bi annual trips to Wembley.& many wore gers scarves to Scotland games

I was a nipper in those days.

And still dont really grasp why any of our fans would support England!!!.

Oh they will say the S.F.A. have treated us like shite.

Tin hat on.

Aye well they days are long gone sorry pal.

At least England is a home nation nothing wrong with supporting them - they've never done any harm to Rangers. Any of the match going English international supporters I know are Rangers daft.

Here's a picture for the thread of the Bears at the Piggery.

No problem with our many english fans supporting England.

I just dont get why our Scottish Supporters would.

I understand if we Scots dont qualify for tournaments. Then some would support N.I. Wales. And/or England.

Just dont get some bears who would support England against Scotland.

Why not? It's no stranger than the supposed "rivalry" that the Scotland fans with a chip on their shoulder claim to have with them.

I'll support literally anyone playing football against Scotland with the exception of Republic Of Ireland.

That's just football, though. I'm passionate in supporting Scotland at anything else - Rugby, golfers, tennis players, commonwealth games participants etc unless the participant is a rapid taig or something.

Families seeing off fans going to Barcelona from Bridgeton .

Don't think so seems more like mid to late 60's versus 1972, just going by what people are wearing.   Could have been fans heading to N'burg for our ECWC final versus Bayern??

It is a rivalry though.

It is. What I was getting at though is that it means far more to Scotland fans than to England fans who seemingly care very little about Scotland. A bit like Aberdeen fans and us.

I personally love the old photo's, I bought books even non related showing the old pictures of Glasgow showing the streets of Glasgow and even from looking at those photo's back then it gave you a sense of what Glasgow was like. Not that I don't like seeing the recent one's, been there, seen it, but these older photo's mean a lot more to me, I guess because it was from an era I was never alive to see. You look back on the old pictures of even the streets of Glasgow and it was a bustling city and the atmosphere back then would've been special to see.
