Beaten 2-0 away... Tie decided on toss of a coin... Incidentally, you didn't perchance misplace something from that night? It's just that I found this... Callum_Doon 1,036
Just been reading a fascinating article, courtesy of the Glasgow Herald, which is an extraordinary insight into the 1967 final against Bayern Munich... - There was a heavy burden on the players as celtic had won the European Cup only seven days earlier - The final was played in Nuremberg and naturally Bayern had the majority of support - As a consequence of the humiliating Scottish Cup defeat against Berwick Rangers in January of that year, Jim Forrest and George McClean had been sold, allegedly being 'scapegoats' - With the only other recognised striker, Jimmy Millar, out injured, Roger Hynd - essentially a half back/centre half, was played as the centre forward - The rising Bayern side featured Sepp Maier, Gerd Muller and a promising youngster called Franz Beckenbauer Ronnie McKinnon recalls: "Of course, ironically, the best chance of the game fell to Roger when he got the ball in the middle of their box. He didn’t get enough on the shot and Sepp Maier made the save. That could have been the difference between winning and losing. Roger was played to upset Beckenbauer but it didn’t work. Beckenbauer just strolled about as if he was out on a picnic. He was unbelievable". Callum_Doon 1,036
OK, going back to my test, brief, interview footage, why is that continuing to a further video, albeit related, which if you click on same, loads YouTube? I tried an identical test a few minutes ago and 'The Impossible Landing' was suggested as a follow up, as shown on this resulting screenshot. Any ideas?
