James Scotland Symon signed for us in 1938 from Portsmouth.

IK but as he's not in this pic, which info said was 38-39, I was wondering if he signed after this ream pic or is it not 38-39 ?

Good stuff! Pretty sure that I must be in there somewhere. It looks like one of those wet and cold days we stood out on the terracing. If it got really bad we went under cover with the 'choir' ...

It wasn't exactly your, no expenses spared, brand new multi-million pound stadium complex!

Yes, some pretty ropey places. Looking across the dog track at Shawfield to see the game, and that big scoreboard they had for the race results! The only one we played at from that era that's still more or less the same is Somerset.
