I know for sure he played at least three times for Scotland, representing the junior league. When I was about 10 years old, I still recall my dad taking me to visit him and Billy showing his three Scottish Junior caps. Most impressive of all was that they were actual caps. There's another version of this photo and you can see it says 'for ROLLS'. So... it can only be the legendary: 'Firhill for Thrills – Johnson's for Rolls'.
