Supporters group Club 1872 branded the Dons followers as ‘dregs of society’ for making sick gags about the Ibrox hero’s on-going battle with Motor Neuron Disease. Club 1872, a supporters group for the Ibrox club, hit out, saying: “We were disgusted when we were made aware of these sickening comments about Fernando. “His illness is something that should transcend football rivalry and supporters of a number of clubs in Scotland have been very kind to him and his family through what has been a very difficult time for them. We can say some pretty shitty things about the beasts from the east and the same with them to us, but nothing compared to what I read on that sheep forum. Thing was, it was not just one person, there were about 5 different posters saying horrific things about a guy suffering something I would not wish on anyone. However, the Club should be doing much more on issues like this and many others. They are quite good in getting their message out to SMSM via L52 when it suits them and that would be our best chance of publicity on matters like this. So, shame on them, if it doesn't happen. People don't tend to say things like this to other people in a normal scenario. This is just a case of online trolling of a guy that used to play football for a rival club. If you ever have the unfortunate experience of spending any time in Aberdeen you'll quickly realise that this doesn't even scratch the surface of their hatred. I went for a pish in a bar up there once and the urinals had pictures of Rangers players on it which apparently isn't an unusual occurrence up there. The whole city is full of scum.
