I surely Celtics budget was much lower when we were out the league.

regardless, hes not the man to win the league with our budget, the fans backing him are hoping for second place at best for the next few years, DM would just be another unenthusiastic stop gap appointment

He's the best guy for the position we are in and because of this board imo.

look, he might be appointed, and he might be a decent manager

but in no way shape or from is he the best guy for the job, you're deluding yourself if you think that

He might very well be under our current circumstances. Obviously he’s not the best we could get under ideal circumstances. But that’s not our reality.

He just never wins the big games and that's the last thing you want at a big a club. Look back 2 years when daila's team were disintegrating at the business end of the season aberdeen still managed to somehow drop more points than they did ... honestly it was actually easier for them to win the league that year than lose it and yet  they still managed to give that Norwegian duck egg another title  :britney:

There has been some pretty ridiculous things said on this site but that is incredible.

No it didn't.

What about when they beat us twice last season?

What if they beat us on Sunday? Will that make him good enough?

Fact of the matter is this, if he was to become manager what he done at Aberdeen will have absolutely no influence on what he does here especially in the big game. Different set of players, different expectations, different financial budgets.

Tell that to everyone who keeps championing “he knows how to beat the rest” .

Cant have it both ways, when he does shite in big games it’s not an influence but when he does well against the shite of the SPL it is?

I agree to an extent but winning the big games with Aberdeen is a harder task than it would be with us because we have a bigger budget and pull to attract players who can win the big games.

He should be capable to continue his ability to beat the rest and hopefully have better resources to start winning the big games.

It’s a flawed logic.

He doesn’t get teams sitting in against him at Aberdeen, it’s not their cup final playing against Aberdeen and they certainly don’t raise their game going to Pittodrie.

Its a whole new level of problems to overcome. Agreed he will have a bigger budget but he’s hardly got a track record of discovering gems or nurturing youth.

He may do well but I don’t have any faith in him to stop 10.
