Would the sheep target Murty?

Whoever takes that job next is pretty much guaranteed to fail tbh.

It's either gonna be Strachan or McLeish that get the job, siding more with McLeish as Strachan would want more money than McLeish.

Hope they do. Murty will knock them back and we can laugh at them even harder.

Murty is our under 20's coach and a move to them is a major step down.

Or they unearth a gem and we come and grab him next time around.

No

Jack Ross or tommy Wright

Possibly go for a Strachan or McLeish for a "biggy"

Think your spot on with tommy wright mate, if they get say £800k from us they could get wright for £400k as he seem to have taken st johnston as far as he can......

Plus that leaves £400k for milne to get a new wig. Every ones a winner

I said in another thread if Wright goes to Aberdeen then I think  Stjonstone could make a move for Murty, they have a good record for blooding young managers and I think after this second spell Murty will have a bit more belief and ambition to take a senior job

I don’t think he’d want to leave us to be honest, he seems very happy here.

I agree with you but I think he will have more belief and taste for it now and I think StJohnstone would be a good fit for both parties

I think if that’s the case then our club have to find a route of promotion for him so that he feels he can develop within the club.

I like the guy a lot and think it would be a shame if we lost him.

Him over BF any day as a first team coach. He has the attributes even if he lacks experience.

He would.

Reckon he'll go far especially in Scotland.

The chance to manage his own team is one I'm sure he would jump at but doubt the Sheep would be interested.

He already said he’d never mange another club at a lesser level than us, so there’s fuckin no chance he’d manage that 2 bob shitey no Mark team

That’s reassuring mate, when did he say this?

I asked the question from the simple perspective of risk to Rangers.

GM's managerial skillset must surely now be obvious and value to us is clearly massive. He is presumably a shortlisted candidate and stated himself he wants to be considered. If overlooked, we surely risk losing him through disgruntlement. Murty clearly loves being at our great Club. But that doesn't mean he bleeds blue like us.

If he was in the same situation at another club, we would pounce.

I'm no no sure - especially the disgruntlement bit.

If we pay them the rumoured 800k they will probably get a decent manager in.

Can we not just offer them Fod, Tav, Hodson & Windass?

Why would we offer them 2 of our best performers recently, our best goalkeeper and a part time footballer?

he never said that. he said he doesint know where he could go that would give him the same feeling that Rangers does. he said he would go to a lesser club as long as he got a good feeling about them. thats what he said in his 1st december press conferance

Friday. What he said was he doesn’t know if he could ever be a manager anywhere else because there’s nowhere that would give him the buzz like he’s had as our manager.

That's not really what he said.

I’m sure the sheep shagger’s accountant would welcome £3M x minimum 2 years onto their salary bill.
