There is a team there

It's the hope that kills you. Previously we could beat diddy teams but would fail against our tougher opponents.

Now, we are producing big performances in big games but struggling against lesser teams.

There's defo players there to work with. They have set the benchmark. They have shown what they can do. They must maintain, and then improve on this level.

We now need reinforcements. We need bodies, and we need quality bodies this window. We're short in that department right now. Over to the board................

Bit unfair to assume that the current manager wasn't a major component of today's performance

Correct. Its clear over both reigns that the players put in the effort for him and, a few ropey and unacceptable results aside, Murty has done ok. I wonder where we would be if we hadn't lost to Hamilton, to Dundee etc... the games we should be winning.

2 or 3 signings in January with reasonable quality through the removal of some high wages (Kranjcar, Pena, Herrera and possibly Alves) and things could be looking up.

There is a team there but only when everyone gives 100%. if you look back at the results we have been getting we go on a run of 2 or 3 performances and then it is as if they then feel that they just need to turn up and we then get a shite performance.

there is the basis of a good team.for me though there is a lack of quality in the final 3rd to hurt teams that sit in and possibly a mentality issue against the smaller sides too

it's a young team though too.with our youth system actually doing what's it's meant to do .Mcrorie and Bates were immense today and I'm sure there are a few others capable of making the step up to first team over the next year or 2

I love it to be the case but sadly there isn't.

Nowhere near it.

What there was was a group of playgoers who finally showed some bottle and pride. That was very welcome but let's not delude ourselves into thinking this is anything clise to a Rangers team.

This group of players really, really needs to have a good look at themselves. There is no good reason that they can't apply themselves like they did in the second half week on week (let's be honest we rode our luck big time first half).

If they can sort out their attitude and workrate then yeah, maybe we would be closer to where we should be.

We have a team with a bit of pace and energy but very little quality

It's fine in games that will be battles but we need some genuine quality going forward if we are going to get anywhere

Sometimes you're only as good as your worst player and with Niko and Windass on the park today it kind of illustrates your point about that lack of quality we have even allowing for those out injured.
