Yes and played pretty well in games I seen, It always seems he gets fit for start of the season plays 1-2 games and thats him done for season it really is a pity as I think he would be a good player to have fit as likes a tackle but we have seen so little of him we cannot judge.

Under 19’s it was and 9 caps he’s never played for under 21s

Aye thats rite I couldn't remember but still a good level for us to be signing. If we could get him fit of course it would be good to see him get a run see whats in his locker for the game up here.

Is it a good level though mate? The amount of shite from beneath the under 21s who don’t do anything in the game is in the majority - the real ones with a chance and actual talent move upto the 21’s - he is not a good player - people see he was a Liverpool youth player and get a romantic notion

dont get me wrong he was a gamble worth taking initially but injuries aside after a few games you could tell he’s an average player that doesn’t have it

It’s nothing to do with money. He was offered a very similar deal by us. The fact he could go and work with some of the best coaches in the game and some of the best players made is why he moved.

Folk will say “aye but if he’d stayed here he could have earned that move in the future” but he’s also have potentially missed out on 3/4/5 years worth of better coaching that should (in theory at least) make him a better player.

Ive heard it from folk on all sides of the move it was nothing to do with money. Having got to know Billy a wee bit last season, he’s a boy that wants to play at the highest level he can and after speaking to plenty of people (both at Rangers and elsewhere) the chance to go down and try his luck there was too hard to pass up.

Thanks for the insight.

My only issue would be why Chelsea? Spurs, Liverpool, Southampton and even Man Utd all seem to ahead of Chelsea in terms of development of youth players, bringing through their own. Infact, in terms of promotion of youth players, Chelsea are probably up there with the worst in the Premiership.

I understand the point regarding better coaching etc. But in my opinion, i tend to think that advanced promotion and higher level demands play more of a role in the development of players. Thats just my opinion ofcourse. If at 16 my son has the chance of playing at our level of youth opposition, as well as the trust of his club to be involved in first team squads at such a young age, or has the chance to go the Chelsea youth setup, I’m pretty sure I know what I’d want him to do.

Was going to post something similar.

On a more local level, Colin Cameron (ex-Hertz, Wolves, among others) had a similar complaints & was on the verge of packing it in, I believe, until someone thought outside the box & pinned it down to issues with his teeth!

AC Milan discovered something similar with Beckham at their Milanelo laboratory.

I can't remember the players name now, but I remember hearing something about this just last year (2017) and thought it was a load of crap at the time. Maybe not though...

Chelsea have the best youth system in England maybe other than Southampton.

The players maybe don't make it into their first team but I bet they produce more players who go onto have a career at a good level than anyone else, also makes them considerable money.

Aye cos that's not even our top now is it? I couldn't see any comments with the picture, what was he saying?

A thumbs up emoji and two punching emojis. No idea what to take from that hopefully means he’s back soon.

Hope so, i know a good few on here don't rate the boy but it's impossible to judge him on his performances for us when he has just been returning from injuries anytime he has featured.

After such a long time out it's to be expected he will be very rusty, could take him months to actually get up to match speed again providing he can stay fit for that long which i'm not too sure he is able to.

only 20 too so he’s still gonna be quite raw. I think he has potential but I don’t expect him to be able to get fit enough to ever reach his potential.

Was there not a rumour kicking about that Templeton had an injury problem and we could never get to the bottom of it. Then after he left us he spent money on seeing a specialist and they were able to discover what was wrong and sorted him out. Could it be something similar with rossiter? Only thing that makes me doubt that though is that murty said he's already seeing different people. Just seems strange though that we can't get to the bottom of Rossiters injuries
