Auchenhowie extension work set to commence

No, not even close. Acknowledging the fact we've just sold a player who never made a first-team appearance for as much as most high-end domestic transfers in Scotland isn't an "Auchenhowie summer", it is however an opinion that the current group of players in the Academy have a number of particularly promising players who, while they may not go on to have careers like a Sandy Jardine or Ally McCoist they could prove valuable players to the club.

It's positive news not something backup is a fan of.

It's fans money ffs. The blazer chasers looking to gain favour.

Raped just like 1872.

Albeit welcome facilities, but these ponces should be ponying up for by themselves.

As for moving in the right direction, no fucking chance with this board and not that these facilities will do much for getting a better first team.

All credit to the fans who contributed to RFFF, but not this fucking board.

Maybe it is another soft loan to be turned into shares or profit when the slitty eyed squillionaire rocks up to buy the club.

Whatever, I'd love to know who sanctioned it and the promises made in return for it being handed over.

The smell of rat is never far away from these "deals"

Not allowed to ask those questions.

Wonder if we will see a detailed cost breakdown for the build so we know exactly where the money was spent?????

Or see who's mates got the construction and maintenance contracts for it. Where there is money there is always some cunt wanting a back hander and it wont be seen in the accounts!!

I’m sure when this was first proposed, it never went to a bidding process between contractors.

One was just picked that was known to the RFFF committee.

Dont know if they have continued to be the contractor of choice, because we don’t get told anything.

Great idea , will definitely go along to watch games once stand is completed

Be interesting to see whether it will be an open door policy for the fans who financed it, or whether it will be a case of  thanks but fuck off you're not welcome.

Glorified fast build ie portacabin based, cheap as chips, interesting to see the breakdown very interesting.

I think if fans just decided to rock on up when it took their fancy there's not a hope in hell of a warm welcome.

Players families, staff, press, scouts, other squads etc are more likely beneficiaries imo.

Such as?

Something for matchday around ibrox would have been nice, scrap the ibrox complex and build something the home fans can enjoy and spend money in, benefits a lot more fans and the club on a regular basis

Imagine a boozer that had screens showing old classic Rangers games, food etc, filled with fans on matchdays, hell even make it a stop off point for busses going to away games, hire it out as a function suite other times, maybe make it a starting and finishing point for the ibrox tour

Surely our custodians should be footing the bill for that

Agreed.

Are all our legal battles confirmed as finally over?

What if 1872 got a seat on the Board and unearthed things warranting legal actions (ie aspects of 5 way agreements, monies we have been deprived of)?

Seems a bit premature regardless of what it's been spent on.

That would mean King depriving his errand boys residing at the blue bar. That particular comedy act of trough guzzlers having their steady stream of the blue pound cut off. Would not be allowed to happen!

This was not why we set up the fighting fund and we the fans never got a say on how it would be spent , only a privilege few get to make those decisions.

So tell me, who should have a say in the use of RFFF funds, surely only those who contributed to it & if So, how does that work .. I put my money in a tin/bucket like lots of folk so there isn' a register of those who donated

Also, I've not seen any agreement of any propoal put forward for RFFF cash, no matter what it was there was a section who would say "it wasn't meant for that".

The cash should just sit in an account, it' now being used to help facilitate the next group of potential RFC stars & I can't think of anything nobler than that.

Pretty impossible to spend the money on something everyone agrees on. An element would disagree the money they put in should be used for a pub for example. Should the money be used to reap profits or to the develop the playing side?

At least the money is being put into facilities designed to develop our youth. Should help attract better youth players and develop the youngsters.
