We did the exact same with Steven Davis and a fine player he turned out to be for us. We fucked about in the close season with Davis, went out of Europe at the start of August, then signed him. A loan deal with the option to buy in the summer is best for us rather than the selling club. Think a lot of this change is due to Allen rather than the Board, wouldn't trust Robertson n co to run a lemonade stand, let alone a football club. Don't have a clue. Loan option with agreed fee makes much more sense and possibly allows us to get maybe another we wanted in with less impact on budgets. He could come up here and be shite and then we would be glad it was a loan. I think this is a smart move however it came to it and expect him to sign and be signed come summer.
