hooooootchy 405
Managed to catch the first half hour . The young boy (14 I think) who's played with some big clubs since he was 6 . Has no club now but if someone wants to take him on they'll have to pay derby 80 grand . Hindering this boys chance at a career . Pretty shocking. Greed has killed the game

They have more scouts in hudderfield than the club themself
hooooootchy 405
It's terrible . They said its just buisnesses raising kids to sell for profit and no other industry in the World could get away with it . Was quite eye opening . Looking forward to catching the rest
surfsup2 1,535
It was really interesting a bit of a eye opener felt for the kids . Joey Barton came across quite sensible . Sad when they just dump the kids with nothing and the kids trusted them.
MurrayWilson 3,381
Youth development by the super rich clubs seriously needs to be looked at by uefa, half the time they sign up boys just to stop their rivals getting them or to make sure that if the lad turns into a player they wont have to pay a big fee for him off a smaller club years down the line. The best/worst example of this is Chelsea. Nothing against Chelsea but how can it be right to have 70 players or whatever the fuck it is out on trial? The way they operate it makes the poorer, I wont say smaller, clubs wonder what the point is in operating a youth policy. Money is destroying the game and unless uefa step in then a lot of people will start lose interest, after all we will be left with a game where only maybe a dozen clubs in Europe have any chance of winning the major honours. Maybe they don't care. As long as the tv and sponsor money keeps coming in.

The same goes for full time footballers aswell.
