Any truth in this?

Rangers fans have been rocked by rumours star midfielder Ross McCrorie has broken his ankle and is set to be a long-term injury loss.

The 19-year old breakthrough star was conspicuous by his absence during the third day of Rangers’ training camp Florida, and while he managed some light training during the second, it appears the injury may have become too much of a crutch to bear.

Hopefully this is a serious case of misinformation and the young anchor will be fit for Rangers’ serious business on their return to Scotland later this month, but if it is true, it may well explain Graeme Murty’s sudden interest in a host of defensive midfielders like Kevin McDonald and Greg Docherty.

But either way, we do not want to lose someone of McCrorie’s talent and ability, and it would be a terrible absence to deal with. Let us pray the information is wrong.

Am I a mongo or was it written by a mongo?

"while he managed some light training during the second, it appears the injury may have become too much of a crutch to bear"

The word I thought (which is religious/ Christian / Catholic) was "crux" to bear... as in bearing the crucifix.
