I think today, despite his lack of match fitness, his quality shone through.

He's far too good for Hearts and we should have snapped him up.

On another note, Berra was like an absolute rock. He battled for everything and showed leadership qualities I never thought he had.

He would have been a far better signing than the overpaid Alves every day of the week that ends in a Y.

Two experience international players right there that would walk into our starting eleven and we  missed them both.

Hello Stephen...now fuck off

Wrong part of the forum to be discussed as he no longer plays for us.

However, like I stated on the Hearts Hibs  match thread, SN is too good for Hearts. The game was shite today but he did very well and showed his class with his movement and passing. Those who hate him have clouded judgement and will never praise him again which I can understand.

He has apologised so we move on. However, if he does well until the end of the season, then he should be signed. I would play him any day over Windass when we need someone off the strikers. He would be a natural replacement for Miller.

Him behind Morelos and Cummings with Murphy on the wing would make us strong.

I get why people would never want him back but I believe having him would bring us closer to 55 than not.

Miller playing for the paedos is worse in my opinion than what Naismith did. I forgave Miller and I'm sure after Naismith gets stuck in and works with the team, he would be a really good fit.

He has the experience of smashing the taigs and knows how to win a league.

If he does shite at hearts then we wont sign him- simple. But I reckon he is too good and should still be at our level or Premier League at 31 years old.

His apology means fuck all.

I don't care whether he apologised or not and I don't care if he scores fucking 12 goals, I dont care if he gets hearts player of the year and I don't care he feeds starving people at Xmas and I don't care about one fucking thing he does.

I don't want him back and I find it pathetic that grown men are greetin about "missing" him. Have some self respect and forget about him.

I must have watched a different game. JudasSmith was ordinary infact the whole match lacked any quality. Saw nothing from the rat that made me think we should have signed him. I think some folk need to go back and watch or read that press conference again. As i did. It was fucking horrific and imo he didn't just burn his bridges he sank them to the bottom of the Atlantic. Hopefully he gets a "warm" reception when he turns up at Ibrox. A half hearted apology five years to late because glass knees wanted a move back up here counts for fuck all. Out of all those who did walking away this rat and his buddy hair weave are two i would NEVER welcome back. They are not fit to wear the famous jersey.

Clouded judgement. "I'm not leaving Rangers i'm leaving Sevco. I wish the new Rangers well".  Nothing clouded about it. He was/is a Judas rat who plunged the knife in when we were at out lowest and grown men were openly shedding tears on camera. And all so he could jump ship without the "hassle" of moving over to the new company that was running the SAME club. His "apology" means sweet fuck all. I only regret he'll be allowed back into Ibrox at all. Even wearing another clubs shirt.

I expected more from him today tbh. I was one of his backers on here about him returning but looking at him today he didn't look the same player I know it was one game but spent the full time in midfield. I was wrong about him hes done and its time we moved on

Yes because Charles Green ended up being innocent. I think some of the players knew what he was like well before the fans did. It was Green talking them into transferring over.

This starts a whole new debate anyways.

Naismith has as much if not more quality than any player we have just now. That' a fact. I would take him if it helps us topple the scum.

If you think Naismith played well or showed his 'class' you really should give up on football.

Only one to show anything of note was Berra.

Thought Cochrane done well tbh. Although a think am gonny hate him if Ian Crocker doesn’t fuck up about him being 16

Amazing how opinions can change with the benefit of hindsight.

Go back to then summer and there wouldn’t have been one poster who would say that Berra would be a better signing than Bruno Alves.

I sincerely hope no-one that thinks like that mess of an OP is at the Hearts game at Ibrox. They’ll all probably be on here greeting about booing their hero.

Hope he crumbles in a heap to a chorus of cheers

How’s your leg, how’s your leg, Steven Naismith

The game from what I saw today lacked any real quality with a shite pitch and either side barely able to string more than 5 passes together.

Naismith made one reverse pass to their LB which was his only bit of decent play throughout but didn't create any danger.

He certainly didn't show me anything "we've missed".

A fit Naismith is miles ahead of anything we currently have. Can he recapture the levels required?

Well, when you consider that's his first game since August I think you can see he's still got a footballing brain and some of his touches today were different class.

What he said back in 2012 was very painful. Like most on here I hated the bastard.......but times have changed. We can't afford to hate ourselves to death.

Can we really afford to snub a player of his outstanding ability as the vermin march ever closer to Tiar? Or worse still, 55 before us? The answer is NO!

He made a huge mistake, but with Niko and King Kenny all but finished, we need him pulling the strings in that position.

Dave King put the kibosh on it despite certain board members willing to forgive him. I just hope Davie and us don't live to regret that decision.
