McCoist — a bookies’ outsider for the post himself — said: “Stevie Clarke’s done a fantastic job since he’s come up to Kilmarnock and I’m a little bit surprised he’s not been mentioned in despatches. "I’d love the manager to be Scottish but it’s not the be-all and end-all. I just think you have to have the best man for the job.” Thoughts?
