esquire8 42,336
Don't know how Windass stayed on for so long. Rank rotten. Wouldn't mind seeing a shift about and put Cummings wide right, Murphy in the middle and Candieas wide left. Murphy looked far more dangerous when he took up a central position. Why the fuck would we switch Candeias to the opposite wing?

Drop our top scorer Out top scorer should now know that he has another scorer wanting his starting place, he either sulks and gets dropped or push on and make sure Murty doesn’t have a choice but puck him. Because it would give Tav more room to operate going forward and give some width on the left given that John keeps cutting in. Candieas should stay in the starting 11 and would perform as well on the left as he does the right. His game is about putting a shift in and delivering crosses in. He was fucked after his wee cameo, and to be fair admitted it himself! Defo starter on Wednesday to get his fitness up, and hopefully a few goals. Normally you'd want your new striker to get game time to get a goal or two to boost their confidence. I think he might be alright in the confidence department though regardless! I doubt he did, but his team mates don’t plan on rolling over to let him in the team. It’s right he starts his Rangers career on the bench and either takes the place of Morelos through hard work in training and impact moments like today, or they both persuade the manager to change his system but that shouldn’t be an immediate change when results are going well. Yes they have a good partnership just now but we have to keep evolving so we don't stagnate. Cummings is worthy of a start and Windass looks the one who could easily be missed. Wouldn't have Cummings upfront as a two as this unbalances the midfield that struggles to cope half the time. Murphy and Candieas can put in a shift. Wouldn't change a winning formation. cp9 753
Cummings himself said he was gassed after the 20 and needs some game time under his belt. 60 minutes on Wednesday will be a good start and we can move on from there.

You saying Morelos has only had one bad game ? He was fuckin dire today and should have been off on 55 mins. Start the two of them next game , or leave him on the bench and give Cummings a start. He should raise his game knowing Cummings is there to take his spot.

Cummings came here for first-team football. The boy wants to play regularly and if he doesn't get it here he might go elsewhere. I like Morelos but he isn't here for the long-term. Ideally, we would play both Cummings and Morelos and have two talented strikers banging in the goals.

In his interview you could see Cummings was blowing out his arse and he was only on for twenty minutes. He himself said he wasn’t match fit yet and struggling. I didn’t get the sense in the slightest he disagrees with the decision to start his spell with us on the bench. I like him and hope, even expect, he will force his way in. But I like the way Murty is managing the situation in these early stages.
