Well for what it's worth I think it would be criminal of Dave King not to at least sound the man out now. He's surprised us all with his willingness to get involved with football again. Walter Smith would have thought long and hard about the implications of it all before showing his hand on the Scotland front.  So seriously, with the latest turn of events and from our point of view now ...... Maybe he saw it as a common courtesy to discuss directly with them the reasons he's not interested in any return to the game.

He seems that sort of honourable type to me.
