On 25th Feb v the sheep Rogic lasted 73 minutes so not sure with 2 weeks more fitness he was only ever going to last 60.

Not sure who has Brenda as a "tactical genius" but there's no doubting his actions had a positive effect. His options were limited with a keeper, Armstrong, defender and wide players and a centre forward on the bench. Shortly after he put on the boy Hendry he chose the forward, who scored and won 3 points for a team with 10 men for half an hour. Genius no but successful clearly.

You're likely right that Murty would have caught it if he changed tactics and we lost. But that's all hypothetical. He didn't make the changes which secured a draw or win against 10 men and that's factual. He rightly deserves criticism for that.

The Rogic logic (pardon the pun)is based on a lot of games where he tends to be subbed on the hour Mark, yesterday was much the same, it was clear at the time he was telling broonaldo to sit in as 1 and to push ntcham further up, once Rogic went off, for a good 6-8mins after the sending off the tims offered absolutely nothing they were happy to send the ball back up the park and in general back to Rangers players, I think where Murty genuinely fucked up was when they brought on Eduardo, he should of reacted better as Brenda then had no right side of the park, we failed to take advantage of this as we tended to play down the right side which was a little confusing

Yeah, unfortunately we were poor after the red card and they didn't need to do too much to keep us out.

Agree re us overdoing it down the right. I actually thought Murphy had a poor second half and tired, unsurprising coming back from a few weeks out with little recovery time. There's an argument that he could have been brought off, ...., or Windass, or Goss, etc.

To not have reacted at all really and then lost, compared to Brenda who reacted and won, there's only one manager earning their crust and deserving of credit for their input.

When the tarriers started lumping the ball to us thats where we needed that extra man in midfield, someone who is always free to take the pass and drag the tims about the park, having windass sitting pretty much on their backline offering nothing meant we were still man for man in midfield, so all the tims had to do was hold their shape and we were gonna struggle

Goss was ineffective most of the game, it's hard to believe that Holt would have been worse. Windass did next to nothing after his goal, Cummings offered more when he came on.

Those two changes should have been made even before the sending off.

Halliday would have been as good an option of Goss, and that's saying something. Cummings offered nothing, Windass created our only real goal scoring chance that came after our second

Last December Kranjcar was an absolute calamity yet remained on the park for about 80mins.  That Goss was ineffective and stayed on should come as no surprise.  Murty tend to makes subs very late on even if a player is contributing nothing.

Made the above points including the Niko one in a couple of threads since Sunday. Also that Murtys late subs tend to be a positional like for like.

On the whole I get the jist of why he goes for the starting line ups he does. During the game more often than not I'm frustrated or baffled by the changes he does make or more often doesn't see to make or leaves too late.

IMO murty is gonna turn into a outstanding manager. Here is the thing do we stick with him and accept hes gonna be making mistakes or do we go tried and trusted in the summer. Personally I'd stick on a year by year basis.

I don't think we can wait to see if murty develops into an outstanding manager. We have 3 more seasons to stop 10. IMO we need an experienced manager at the helm who can implement the tactical changes when games aren't going our way. I'm all for Murty remaining as a coach in the 1st team set-up.
