Wallace at CB

Recommended Posts

Should be fine at CB going by the amount of times he seemed to be positioned in the middle when playing at FB

Martin and Alves with Wallace as far infront of Cardoso as possible before McCrorie comes back will do

Might not be the worst idea I've ever heard, if he plays well in that position in these bounce games then might as well give him a shot

Bonkers idea, he’s slower than a week in the jail and can’t defend when he only has  one player coming at him.

Sounds like they are trying to shoehorn him into a position, nothing from what I've ever seen from Wallace suggests he'd be a good option at CB.

Dreadful idea.

He’s bad enough at defending at LB never mind sticking him in the middle.

Well at least it's being tried at development squad level.

He’s not a great defender at all.i have a novel idea why not bring back aiden Wilson a C.B. who plays there and has impressed more than cardoso

He’s out on loan.

It’s a firm no from me.

Mulgrew made the switch and I believe McCleish is toying with the idea of playing Andy Robertson there. Didn't Maldini play CH from full back? May not be a bad idea....

Terrible idea - even if he plays well what does it actually prove? Dalcio and Dodoo look good in friendlies

After Sunday, nothing is a terrible idea.

Not too sure if you’re being serious

of course I am. Our Ch position ( and Goss ) can be blamed for all three goals to some degree. I don't think Wallace is the long term answer to play there but at least we are experimenting to find solutions until the transfer window reopens. I don't see anything wrong in that.

He's easily beaten 1 v 1, very slow on the turn, weak in the air and poor positionally.

Centre back seems like a terrific idea.

Got to be worth a go. Am in the minority who reckon Lee is a decent football player. If we are struggling with numbers I would trust the big fella to do a job in there on the left of Alves. If it gets him match fit to team up with Murphy on the left then all the better. Really think those 2 on the left would be a potent force. Still think John can make the position his own with a little improvement but he did pretty well against scum imo.

Initial thoughts are - fuck no!

However, we are poor in central defence at the moment so it might, just might, be worth a try. I'd like to think he could cope with Kris Boyd's pace this weekend - surely?????
