He'll be behind two left backs in Neil Taylor and Ben Davies (if he isn't LCB of a 3) but he's clearly made the most of his opportunity to get out of Cardiff with his career stalling. Bring in a young player who's underperforming or can't get a game at his parent club and trial him for a few months. If it works out we get a player for nothing, if it doesn't work out just send them back as we did with Oduwa.
