My dad used to always take me away before the rush. So we left on 89 minutes normally. I remember him saying that we were staying that day to say goodbye to Ray. Funny the wee memories that stay with you.

I always remember that goal being in the fog, but the fog didn't come til later.

Absolutely gutted at this. Never had the pleasure of seeing Butch live as it was just before my time but the regard he’s held in by older bears speaks volumes. Listen to him every week on talksport and he’s a man that, when he speaks, people should listen. Football will be a sadder place without Ray.

i was in the east enclosure that day. and yes very emotional. the guys who didn't have tears in their eyes where holding them back that's for sure as we left the ground
