Does everyone on here criticising the club know what he was offered?

Its ultimately up to the player to decide where his future lies regardless what he was offered.

Hope he does kick a ball again for us this season.

This board could not persuade a Rangers man to Manage us now they have let a young promising Rangers supporting defender go.

Good luck to him, maybe fancied spreading his wings a bit. Whether it's the boards fault depends what kind of wages he was looking for. Anything more than 10k pw and they've made the right decision imo.

He’ll be at Aberdeen or Hibs this time next year.

Wholeheartedly disagree. He’ll be a full international for Scotland within a year and will continue to improve tenfold. The criticism he got during his time here has been ridiculous.

Bates made his own mind up. There's no facts here being given.

Im no fan of the board but he can talk to clubs outside the UK since January so I'm sure his agent has been working on it since then

HSV is continuing its personnel planning for the future and shaping the new team squad. For the upcoming season, the red roses can announce their first signing. David Bates, center-back of the Scottish top Glasgow Rangers, graduated from the UKE sports medicine examination today and signed a four-year, league-based contract.

The 1.93-meter right-footer, who was born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, and played for Raith Rovers in his youth, made his debut in April 2017 in the Scottish Premiership for the Rangers Rangers, who signed him in January 2017 after a six-month loan. Bates, who has been on duty for the Rangers in the Europa League, is now transferring to the Elbe on a free transfer and wants to continue his positive development here.

Johannes Spors, squad planner and scouting director of HSV, sees the 21-year-old center-back as a good commitment, not only because of his athletic quality: "David brings in the combination of height, speed, mentality and accountability characteristics for the defensive that the HSV will be good for sure. He is a down-to-earth guy who wants to actively develop his career and work hard for it, "says Spor

obviously, that's why he's signing for a lesser club......

Behave. Regardless of their recent fortunes, Hamburg are one of the biggest clubs in Germany. The facilities and quality of infrastructure they have over there are at a level that makes Auchenhowie look like a public park.

Bundesliga 2 or not, it’s a step up from the pish standard we’re currently at.
