who replaces them and their loans ?

Well, they are real Rangers men after all, so on good will, they simply step aside and leave them obeyance and their repayment negotiated with any new owner and even take a hit on them if need be, or are you saying they are not real Rangers men?

The only way back for this crew as I alluded to in another thread is that they act NOW and deliver the calibre of manager and players that can take this title next season. This would require a commitment in significant investment and upfront now. No more promises of jam tomorrow. A new manager and players fit to take that title next season. They simply do it, or step aside. I doubt they would simply walk away and put us to the wall. Outwith king, most of them live here and Park has his main business to think about, far less his safety!

You get proper people in place who can squeeze every last drop of available revenue out of the market, couple that with running an efficient business model and run the club within its means.

Within its means doesn’t mean we avoid all debt, debt is only a problem when you can’t service it, a proper run Rangers can carry a good serviceable debt.

And replace it with whom. They have £17mn of soft loans don't they. Who is going to pay them off buy their shares and then invest millions. Nobody is. We are stuck with them for the foreseeable future and more destabilisation is not helpful.

We need to be very careful what we wish for.

Pretty much.

Would end up costing about 80 million after paying their loans buying the shares then investing.

You'd need to be an absolute roaster or Qatari to buy us

There’s no one in the wings, there’s no sugar daddies, there’s no one interested in investing in Scotland- the EPL or ECL are where you go if you’re sensible - there’s no one of wealth behind a coup.

If our board chuck it right now at this time - I believe we will be fucked big time

be careful what you chant for

For the most part true, but we don't know if there are anyone waiting in the wings. For the right price, I'm pretty sure there would be a few and if they are real Rangers men, they take the hit on it and step aside.

The current financial model doesn't work and it looks like they don't want to risk any more of their own money by taking on that Close loan, but they now face a dilema, if ST sales drop significantly and they are not prepared to fund an increasing gap, we go to the wall and they stand to lose a significant portion of their investment, so it's coming to stick or twist time. Do they take a leap of faith and take the risk of significant investment to win that title and start to get repaid, or stay locked in on a cycle of ever decreasing circles to oblivion, because the current model takes us exactly there. It's the dilema they face right here, right now. The next month or so will tell the tale.

take your head out the sand....... there is no figure with wads of cash floating about in the wings, there has been not a peep about "significant" investment from anywhere, - season tickets have virtually been at the same level for 35 years, they aint dropping anytime soon....

you wishing for stuff that doesn't actually exist is just that - a wish

It will get to this but for now, for me, King is at the root of our failure and if he was removed or delivered on his pledges then the Board could function better. Can't see a new Board being found but targeting him is bang on for me.

this is getting a bit closer to the action required, target King! - but someone needs to step forward first, otherwise, despite his failings, we might find ourselves vulnerable to the next Craig Shyte.

You seriously think they would leave their loans after being forced out, that is a novel idea.

Well you can’t sack the major shareholders they are here to stay.

But you can restructure the board with people who know what they are doing, and get a proper CEO in.

That's way too rational for this place. A ban may follow

Even removing him from the Chairman role (be it formally / informally  and permanently/temporarily) would help. A buyer for his share holding and another guarantor for the shortfall he's pledged are another matter.

And like Courtyard Bear that's too sensible as well. Admin might be busy today
