why should we tell the media or anyone else about investment  for a start all it would do it put up fees for any transfer target

it is none of these buggers business  they would only put it out of context anyway

I don’t understand that either can anyone explain. Why does King have to gather journos to inform them of our spending? Nothing to do with anyone outside of the club.

That might, I say might, just be enough to pay off Pena, Herrera and maybe one other from the wage bill.

As usual the fans will fund the club via season tickets.

Very underwhelming Mr. King.

The Stevie G factor has just left the building and we are back to being a laughing stock.

Stevie G would have to be a complete moron if he signed thinking 6m would do the job.

If this is true, the board has completely mismanaged this.

It's been said numerous times that the first share issue will raise a small amount of cash but mostly be about converting debt then they plan to have a second one.

This should be pinned on this thread.

But as this and similar threads have shown in the last couple of days, common sense goes completely out of the window.

Gonna be a crazy summer with the mental rumours about money and who's allegedly coming in ...

You're so transparent, and what you've been doing since you came back.

There's no point in trying to correlate a transfer budget with the rights issue.

Last summer, Pedro spent £10 despite:

No European money

Next to no retail money

No share issue.

This season, we may or may not have some European money depending on performance, a new kit deal, much increased retail performance, a 5% increase on ST & player sales income.

Anyone thinking Gerrard will have a budget of £6m is off their head.

Gerrard is not coming here to play with the sort of budget Pedro had. No chance he is putting his reputation at stake with the odds stacked so firmly against him, he knows there is a huge gap between ourselves and celtic to bridge and he knows no matter his reputation there will be limited time before patience wears thin.

It might not be revealed until closer to his start date being 1st June, but I'm convinced there is going to be substantial investment come in from an outside source. Who, what, when, why.....I have no idea. But I do not believe Gerrard takes the Rangers job without serious financial backing.
