Starts to make sense now. King clearly said in his interview that we needed only 5/6 players. This ties in with 6 million spend

What makes you think we'll only spend £6m?

Wheres all this transparency? Are they going to tell us their plan to challenge celtic?

i dont think this is the end of the world but its just underwhelming like pretty much everything else this board has done

I agree, the 6m is to be raised from a share issue but TAB blocked King from doing one until he complies to the ruling, so money needs to be factored in for that.

yes it is that easy - I could raise £60m easy. He's trying to protect his shareholding and get the price up before raising a shed load but he's taking an almighty gamble this way. I think SG is mad

What do you d for a living? If you're capable of generating that sort of income for the club why don't you do something about it?

They'll only tell us if we promise not to tell celtic our plan.

It's been said numerous times that the first share issue will raise a small amount of cash but mostly be about converting debt then they plan to have a second one.

What makes you think there will be another one ? I'd have thought most contributors would have gone for the first one or am I missing something ?

Go on, tell us.

The club is running at a loss. The ST money will be used to keep the doors open. The impact from Pedro's spend will be felt this year.

That leaves us with potentially a couple of million from merchandise which may or may not already be spent keeping us going.

Barry Scott will likely need paying off too.

On the credit side, we have what we can sell the players for. After this year, practically nothing and we will likely have to pay some to go.

So, to sum up, that 6m may be the only free money we have. Plus the fact king didn't commit it to Gerrard so we don't even know we have that.

This talk of 10m is pie in the sky and would be nowhere near enough even if true.

Without investment we are skint and shopping in the bargain bins for a new team.

This has just been another jam tomorrow scam by King to flog season books. How many times do we have to fall for it?

No sense greeting about it when they are sitting on 9 in a row. It will be too late by then.

Surely there has to be more to this than DK is letting on, the idea of £6m is embarrassing, and SG surely to fuck wouldnt have been signing anything with those figures being banded about.

I feel there is a bigger picture to all of this.

No idea what mind...

Guardian is a doom monger

Or a realist.  The convicted criminal and his on going spats with the governing bodies is hardly an incentive to part with the readies.  He's toxic and were fucked till hes gone.

It’s wasy to raise money mate. It’s no different to asking your pals for a whip-round like you would do when you are splitting a taxi on a night out

There's plenty of genuine things to criticise them for, never understood why people need to dramatise everything so much to make their point.

You would think King sat down in that conference today and said our new managers entire budget is the money from this share issue not a penny more.

Some on here need to take a deep breath.

Gerrard is not risking his managerial future with us, if he didn't have cast iron guarantees about his transfer budget.

Let's see what we actually spend first.

Close brothers also need paying off . I can't believe SG would risk his brand without having something in writing. I also believe the board waited for res 11 to be passed for a reason, otherwise they would have already done a rights issue. Outside investment must be being looked at, unless King has found himself a sugar daddy to fund SG.

Don’t understand why Guardian is taking stick.

This is the same board that claimed finishing 2nd/3rd would be ‘ahead of the curve’ they aren’t putting big money in to compete with the scum, not a chance. You’re deluding yourself if you think otherwise.
