I didn't mention it this year, because we're already sorted. No thanks to you lot though - it's all down solely to the Magnificent @Keeps01, who every year, without even being asked, cashes in his work bonus and converts it all into whisky miniatures for our Erskine Veterans. This year, he's sent 176 Whisky Miniatures, as well as a couple of bottles of gin for the ladies. This is what a successful D-Day landing looks like ... And this is a message from Erskine... Quote Hi gb, 176 miniatures and 2 bottles of gin have arrived as you can see from the picture. I'll keep 40 for my residents [Erskine Park home], send 46 to Glasgow and give the balance of 90 to the Bishopton home. The gin is staying here as we're running out at the moment! Please thank @Keeps01 once again for his very generous donation. D day celebrations would not be the same without his input. I'll send you a couple more photos so you can pick the best. Photo of ration tins will be sent in due course, Many Thanks, Carol x On 03/06/2018 at 22:44, govanblue said: On 03/06/2018 at 22:45, govanblue said: On 03/06/2018 at 22:47, govanblue said: Better late than never, here are the photos of the D-Day Ration Packs, complete with whisky, thanks to @Keeps01 Zetland, Bears r us, dougie76 and 2 others
Popular Post govanblue 16,847
Many thanks to @SW3 and @WILLIAM BEAR who have donated their seats for Thursday's game. 2 Lucky Erskine Bungalow Residents will be over the moon. If any other Members have their seat going spare, please do let me know, as we do still have more Veterans. Meanwhile, here's a photo of Erskine Park Residents and Carers at last week's game v Bury... Is it pre-recorded do you think? So, What's next? Not counting any possible upcoming European games for now, it'll be the Wigan friendly: The 14 Smartcards will be authorised automatically for that, and so I'm now on the scrounge for any unused seats for that game. Oh yes - Erskine Bishopton and Erskine Park have both got their Summer fetes coming up imminently. I'll dig out a couple of bin bags worth of RFC Official Clothing to donate to them, with the express instruction to first ensure that all the Resident Bears get free pick of anything they want out of the bags, and then they can sell the rest at the fete. So get yourself along to either or both of those fetes, and grab some bargain kit. Details to follow. Mention you're from the RM Erskine Fund, and you'll probably get some free cake too, and a personal tour of the Sporting Memories Room we helped to build...
