We've scored more goals than any other team in the league.  Pumping most of our transfer money in to a striker doesn't seem very wise.  We need CBs and physically big, strong, competitive, central midfielders.

Aye and the 2 players with most of the goals are hated and will be leaving in the transfer window.

We need to replace them.

Id much rather go for a mitrovic type forward than this lad. Currently on loan at Fulham and should be the type we are after.

He’d cost 15/20 million

This place

“Don’t sign league one players. Young internationals with goal scoring pedigree in Championship/Premiership. Chequebook out, King. Sack the Board.”

- Rangers linked with 21-year old Scotland International coming off impressive goalscoring form in Championship. -

“£4m!? We’d be mental to pay that. Sack the board.”

The sort of players fans want us to sign cost money. We’re either willing to take that gamble or we’re not. If this is true then I’d imagine we’re bringing in both McBurnie & Cummings and selling Morelos.

Reminds me of a young Steve Claridge ex Portsmouyh/Millwall.

I’d take him for £2 Million, same with McGinn. Anymore and there’s really no need.

For the first time in my life I agree. It’s obviously not working out for him at Newcastle and he’s done well in the championship. If we’re throwing £4 million at McBurnie I’d bid £5 million for Mitrovic and see what happens. He might want to go to another championship team but having Gerrard could swing deals like this now, I think

I think the players and transfer fees we've been linked to, show that Morelos is off.

We've probably already agreed something in principle with a club and it's being kept hush hush.

According to the records match report

Quote

Oliver McBurnie - 7

Lone striker role. Improved with his hold-up play and tested Navas with a stinging right-foot shot before the break. Rolled defender cleverly for Ritchie chance. Lively enough and a pleasing debut.

If he comes up here and scores like he has at Barnsley then the sell on value for us will be closer to £10m for a promotion pushing Championship team.

Out of contract in the summer?

His parent club just being relegated?

21 year old highly rated youngster who'll have plenty of suitors?

Rangers fan?

Stevie, please take a good look.  Might be an inspired signing.

he had one shot the whole game and it wasn't particularly good at that. I didn't think his hold up play was all that great. I was hoping for more because he had been linked with us via Cummings, but i wasn't impressed at all. If that's the standard we are looking at, I would be disappointed.

Where are you getting that from? I know it's not 100% accurate but Transfermarkt have his contract expiring next month.
