If England beat Colombia 2day it could suggest that history may well be repeating itself.

In 1966

Real Madrid were European champions

Man city were English champions

Chelsea finished 5th in the league

And last but not least Burnley qualified for Europe

It may well be their tourney to lose the way the draw has opened up

You could be on to something

At the beginning . I would not have been too fussed them winning it .

Having been subjected to the compete over the top commentary and sheer arrogance of many of the tv pundits .

It kind of leaves you with ...I wouldn't mind if they never won it .

Brazil for me

Liverpool were English champions in 1966, so the comparison doesn't work. City won it in in 1968.

English fans now starting to do my balls in.

If they win the day they'll get to the final as it's an "easy" route

Ffs Switzerland have lost once in 2 year and drew with Brazil. Croatia have played really well. Sweden have been better than I've seen them since about 1994/95.

Yet they win the day and it's the final for them

geez peace

Man City won the old second division that year,  some strange coincidences though

I heard it on the Radio....I only checked up on the Real Madrid one to start with and it was right so I just assumed.
