Costa caused the Belgians all kinds of trouble when he came on...Mbappe could destroy them

Really hope the French knock them out.

Couldn't handle guardian readers wanking off to a possible Belgian world cup win.

Yip, France will beat them, luck will run out eventually!

Brazil denied a stonewall penalty, another potential penalty and had to rely on Courtois saving them

Better team lost, same with Japan, but Neymar is a cock so not fussed

That's Courtois' job to be fair.

 He is a grade A bellend mate.

Neymar would go up in my opinion if he did not do all the theatrics and actually did produce something to warrant the widely held opinion that he is just behind Ronaldo and Messi on a consistent basis, would rather have 5/6 players ahead of him if given the choice.

That was a great game of football there. Some thoughts:

1.) Kevin de Bruyne would be the best player in the world if it weren't for the big two. He was exceptional today and that goal was wonderful. Hazard was almost equally as good, and I've never seen Lukaku be so dominating. He really, really impressed me.

2.) Martinez got his tactics spot-on. The 4-4-2 diamond that reverted to their usual formation with wing-backs when they attacked on the counter meant they could counter quickly, stretch Brazil with Hazard and Lukaku going wide, and most importantly get De Bruyne on the ball in the final third instead of deeper as in previous games. Brazil were completely outwitted and outclassed that first half and were lucky to still be in the game.

3.) Neymar will never reach his potential because of his own selfishness, prima-donna attitude and apparent refusal to focus on the game alone. Neymar with Ronaldo's attitude would be unbeatable. This Neymar will break records for Brazil and PSG in leagues and cups and qualifying stages, but I don't think he'll ever do it when it matters in either the World Cup or the Champions League.. Despite playing with Messi for years, he hasn't progressed at all as he should have done.

Because instead of learning he believes the hype surrounding him, remember he is a kid from Brazil who now has a bank balance of £300,000000. Imagine the two  GOAT Maradona or Pele with access to those ridiculous amounts of cash..

Lukaku was impressive as winger. Hazard was the best player on the pitch for me, every time Belgians got in trouble at the end of the game, the amount of fouls he won and the time he saved them was amazing.

Totally agree with TM91 - Neymar will never be the Ronaldo/Messi level and will always be the selfish media baloon. I doubt that he will ever get himself to a Golden ball. Comparing how Ronaldo developed from a selfish winger who constantly mocks with defenders, to the best striker on the planet says it all about his attitude really. And attitude is something that Neymar will never develop.

Peoples hatred for Neymar are clouding their judgement on him. He is still nowhere fit since his long injury. Come back when Hazard produces a performance on the scale of Neymar carrying Barca against PSG!

Even last night people are wax lyrical over a guy 'winning fouls' Lukaku and KDB were superior and I don't even rate Lukaku.

Belgium and Hazards performance are getting overstated. Using overstated instead of overrated in case TGM starts crying... Brazil dominated the first 15 mins before the own goal and Belgium had one excellent counter attack and strike to go 2-0 up. Brazil dominated the rest of the game. Silva missed a sitter at 0-0, stonewall penalty denied as well.

Brazil ain't even that good and hardly performed at this tournament yet dominated the whole match bar a 10 min spell.

Brazil aren't that great because they're attack is made up of overvalued, inconsistent players.

They're defence is the only thing that is great about them, only conceded 3 in 15 before last night

Yeah Tite installed them into a hard working hard to beat side with the odd moment of brilliance from Neymar and Coutinho.

Sanchez > Neymar..

Really like Sanchez mate, but looks a shadow of the player at United, not the first time a talented player struggled at United in recent memory. Should have went to City but money obviously more important..
